  1. PSG might have some good INDIVIDUALS that are better than ours in the attacking position. But with respect to you and them, JT and Cahill are no strangers to strong attackers. They have the capability to neutralize them. Azpi has been a monster and the scarriest thing about him is he is continuously improving. Midfield we definitely have an edge over them with our pace and skill. Now as a UNIT, I think you are not correct. Chelsea is one of the greatest teams that play as a UNIT. Our midfielders and forwards join the defense all the team and our defenders contribute to our attack. We move together much better than PSG.
  2. I definitely agree there us room for improvement in the offensive side, not just for Oscar but for everyone. I disagree with you though that he is our no.10. You see, the no.10 guy is the guy that you always pass to first or every player tries to find him. Simply because he would then control the movement of the rest of the players and find an opening for a pass or any other offensive movement. I don't think he is the first guy we pass to. Remember that your no.10 doesn't necessarily have to be at the center of the pitch. The first guys we look for are Hazard and Willian and Oscar. Now that Hazard is in a higher form then them, we tend to pass to him first. Not for him to dribble and score, cause we rarely pass to him in great scoring positions. But because he can find an opening for someone else. This role, I think, is being divided amongst the three where all of them are expected to do that role. Coming back to Oscar, he was great in the first half of the season, yet if you analyze him objectively there was still room for improvement. Then he clearly dropped in form in the second half of the season, however, if you look at his last 2 games to be specific, he has shown signs of recovery. Remember a that it is hard to get in top form but RELATIVELY easy to lose it. I predict as the season goes on he will keep improving. That does not mean that he will reach his full potential. Maybe he will but most likely it will be within 2-3 years. Again all what I said is nothing but an opinion.
  3. I am no expert, but sometimes things are not as simple as it seems. Schurrle is by far the best player in Chelsea to find space and make runs, but doesn't get the passes as much. Simply not because they DON'T want to pass (except for Torres) but they jst didn't pick him out in their line of sight. Oscar sometimes doesn't see the OBVIOUS pass that we as SPECTATORS watch from a great angle on TV. Agree with you that there is plenty of room for improvement. Another thing is Oscar is not our no.10 We have three number 10s, Oscar, Hazard and Willian and they all do that role depending on their position on the field. I think that is the potential beauty about this Chelsea team, that ALL three midfielders can switch that role around. That is my naive opinion anyway
  4. Frankly I would like it if Chelsea gets Manu next. Not a string side with all sorts of problems in every aspect of their game and we won't have to travel outside the country. Would be a simple trip, better than going all the wat to Greece anyways.
  5. I feel optimistic and I am hoping for 3 points. Don't care what the score is. I think the lads will take that Gala victory and use for momentum.
  6. Good to see you in high spirits again mate
  7. It is ok to have a different opinion btw. Though I disagree with it, but I hardly call it toxic.
  8. I think as unit we played very well. Definitely should have scored at least 2 more goals and it is an area we should improve in. Lampard really controlled that midfield area very well. Made Ramires not look so bad. This should take the frustration of the Villa game away and though Arsenal are a better side than Gala, but this victory and overall performance should give us a significant morale boost
  9. Respect to the game Lampard is bringing in this match
  10. How many chances are we gonna waste. Should have been 3-0 by now
  11. What is wrong with wanting Schurrle to start. It is an opinion. You don't have to agree to it.
  12. No offense mate. But I don't think anyone here will want GS to play better than usual. I don't know but I THINK people on this forum are mainly Chelsea fans
  13. Well sounds very reasonable. You gotta agree though that the "glimpse" of talent is very relative and vague. It can mean quiet a wide range of things. So it can apply for playmaking, dribbling, technicality finishing. He has definitely played better in the first half of the season and his form is low, however does not mean that he has no talent or hasn't showed any "glimpse". Maybe not the talent you are looking for.
  14. A very expected line up, though I was hoping for Luiz and Schurrle to play a role. Especially Schurrle
  15. Absolutely not. I don't know if my point was redundant but anyways. Do you think players, especially young ones, get to their top consistent form all of a sudden or the moment they step on the pitch. Everything has a cycle. You must know that. I am with you that a fan should be always demanding more for the sake of the team's success and glory. However, maybe a bit of reasoning will help. Especially that we are not the type of club that is ready to pay a lot of money to buy to start replacing players. We are not Real Madrid, ManCity, PSG and the rest of those clubs who are willing to over spend
  16. Sure it does answer my question. It is only that I see you a bit aggressive when you criticize the players who dropped form. I guess you don't tolerate that much. Not a lot of patience
