Why not? There are plenty of reasons why Juve could be more appealing to him, and I'm sure Barca could get him if they really wanted too. Is my point not getting across? If they are banned for this infringement, I expect more bans to come their way (FFP, signing underage players, etc). Things aren't rosy off the pitch.

There's plenty of talk either Juve or Barca wanting him, so this would be another reason to consider it. Players either leaving, on the wrong side of 30 or can't buy game time. There are a number of clubs that are more appealing than Real as of now. Half of the Premiership's defenders have better end product than Willian, so that's neither here nor there. Me neither. The signs were there long before he left and he was fortunate last year with the CL masking over their torrid league campaign. Too many people think Perez throwing money at the wall with Zidane at the helm will bring success. I could wager us doing better than Madrid, if we have a transfer window & they spend within their means (£250-300m~).

They are buying promising & potential trouble if rumours are to be believe. Going from Pedro & Willian to Lucas & Asensio isn't exactly a notable step up.

I just don't get this stance with players nowadays. Real have become at more notable force in Europe again, but just look at their league position in the last decade. There are certainly other clubs that are more appealing/more likely to offer a threat on all fronts next season. Real throwing money at a wall doesn't guarantee much.

I'm sure Zidane returning is the deciding factor now. He wouldn't be pushing the transfer had Mou or Conte been appointed.
