I feel it was just yesterday when everyone here were complaining about Conte playing Cesc-Kante midfield in big games and many were demanding more defensive midfield lineup. I actually think this midfield allows Alonso and Zappacosta to go forward as much as possible unlike in the game against City where the wingbacks were trapped in defensive positions.

I've always thought he could be an outstanding player judging by his talent but I'm not sure if he has the brain to cope with that talent. Surely it's decision thats coming from above? I just can't see why Conte would prefer Cahill over Rudiger. Physically, technically, the latter is superior. Because he's English and there has to be at least one Englishman in the starting XI? Well, just replace Cesc/Bakayoko with Drinkwater and solve two issues at once.

Maybe now's the time to experiment because the title is as good as gone for us. In fact, it was already lost during the summer and everyone apart from delusional board members knows this. There shouldn't be that much pressure because we're competing for the 4th position with Liverpool and Arsenal and both of those teams are constantly dropping points. So let's give the youth a chance to prove their worth because clearly some of the senior members aren't up to the task at the moment.
