  1. This article says most of what needs to be said on CFC at the moment: http://www.espnfc.us/club/chelsea/363/blog/post/2612034/jose-mourinho-needs-to-make-change-if-chelsea-are-to-recover meanwhile, the answer the Mirror's headline question: "Can Jose Mourinho find the answers to Chelsea's crisis and finally build himself a dynasty?" ... is probably a resounding "no," but anything is possible ... I guess. Something other than just big money on superstars is needed this time.
  2. If Mourinho's in charge and terrible form continues, will we ever see the youth start in the Prem this season or are Chelsea doomed to (desperately) look for CL spot with older players crapping out? ...or maybe we admit that we cannot ease into a CL spot like Arsenal does every year and we just play the young guys anyway.
  3. yeah, after all, those who aren't with the church aren't spiritual and not quite human either.
  4. Would be more enjoyable if DIFFERENT PLAYERS got into the starting lineup.
  5. yep, KDB was a bad choice to sell IMO. when will chelsea have a player like KDB again? can anyone in the current squad put so much bend on FK and consistently strike it well? not Oscar. Squad choices by Jose weren't good because of personality clashes, I think and it seems like it's Jose's fault to me. Ego.
  6. fantasy football tip: pick players in the sides facing Sunderland and Chelsea.
  7. and that means nothing because Chelsea's selections in CM can be overrun easily by other PL sides esp. when the strength and positioning in CM falls to Matic alone. If Chelsea had two other strong and capable box-to-boxers, we wouldn't have anything discuss but the manager. But as things are, the squad and the manager are to blame.
  8. come on, what? two of the four are not quick enough. Cesc is not strong enough back there.
  9. when you don't have two excellent CMs and two excellent fullbacks on the pitch, I'm not sure you can be a cut above the rest of the teams in this league.
  10. might be nice to see Chelsea play some football again... some day....
  11. I can't help but say I don't give a shit. Sure, he might become a great player, but Chelsea need box-to-box help, speed and a hard edge in midfield.
  12. gotta love how Engerland play San Marino at least once every 24 months. easier to score goals. ...and then comes next summer.
  13. not in the CL squad, so everyone wants to know what is going on the CFC. I'm asking the same question. Could be a bumpy ride this season. dunno why some people were to eager to re-sign Jose. we'll see.
  14. the positive side of having a shitty start to the season is that it could be a wonderful opportunity for a season of young talent coming into the 1st team (we can HOPE). I'd love to see Musonda get some time, as some are suggesting today. With our problems in CM, why not give RLC, Willian, and Musonda some time next to Matic? Clearly Willian isn't going to score when he's pushed high up the pitch.
  15. Don't care that Chelsea aren't going to win any trophies this year (most likely) because maybe we can see some younger players worked into the lineup. Problem is, aside from RLC, who else can play CM under the age of 23?
  16. all about our new Papy: http://www.skysports.com/football/news/15116/9974768/who-is-papy-djilobodji-all-you-need-to-know-about-the-chelsea-target
  17. Anthony Martial to United. Looks like one with elite striker potential IMO.
  18. I heard Moussa Sissoko is near full fitness.
  19. He's strong in the air! I think this kind of move would have made sense weeks ago if CFC were planning to get a second solid fullback in the market, plus a couple players for CM. CM: Matic, Loftus-Cheek, new player, new player fullback: Azpi, Rahman, new player, Ivanovic Anyone think CFC will get someone for centre mid?
  20. that's about as easy as they come. what's the problem?
  21. I'm hoping that when I get online tomorrow afternoon Aymeric Laporte is signed but not officially announced. Next up: turning over a rock to find something better than Fabregas, Ramires, or Mikel at CM --or buying someone strength, quickness and other skill potential FFS. ...and Ivanovic has no business on the pitch come 12 Sept.
  22. Will probably end up at Barca if Chelsea don't take him ASAP. Hurry up, CFC. I've not seen him play much (thanks to the unpopularity of Bilbao for TV/LaLiga's crooked TV income distribution), but it seems he has anticipation and reaction like someone we once knew here, at Chelsea.
  23. That's the truth. Chelsea don't have solid workhorses and depth for the centre midfield and fullback positions aside from Azpi and Matic (and there's possibility with Rahman and Loftus-Cheek). All this time passed and this is what Chelsea are right now, with only a few days left in the summer window. good job, "big club." Hey, I really doubt someone's on the phone and airplanes all day looking to get another quality CM in along with someone who can play FB (depth). Are Chelsea only busy trying to sign superstars while the squad is looking shallow for quality and depth across the formation?
  24. 1. to sum things up over the years since 2005, or when Robben departed: Chelsea have spent a lot of money and have not had a complete squad (meaning: pick a formation, look at the quality in depth in each and every position). 2. Chelsea might not be using short passes with such futility if someone would coach them differently. Watch a United match (forget about them not scoring enough for a moment), or see how Dortmund push and pull an opponent. No one does this at Chelsea. Front-to-back and side-to-side Chelsea are too slow and lack incision and it's been this way year after year after year after year after year.... someone needs to change the way this team plays on the park and I don't see Mourinho doing it.
  25. Azpi on the right is not going to be a Seamus Coleman, but he will be good there. Let's just say that Ivanovic needs to NOT start at right back (and that we need another REAL box-to-box CM with top quality in this squad). nice work, Kenedy. but pressure on a dribbler is greater up the pitch --which is probably where he belongs.
