  1. what's old is new again: Jon Obi Mikel making dumb passes/dribbles that result in scoring chances for the opponent.
  2. dribble, dribble, dribble. like some FIFA club match with teens who want to play as CAM. fruitless.
  3. interesting proposition, but I doubt that ManUtd sell him. should have bought him two years ago IMO.
  4. nothing happening on the Chelsea attack. same old problem, same two fullbacks.
  5. any nominations for a new song at the Bridge? feels like now would be a great time for the Chelsea event staff to add new music. pump it up.
  6. What a match! Who will mark Troy Deeney? Stick the young man (RLC) on him? Ramires? Ramires MIGHT be the right guy keep Troy restrained. should be interesting. Personally, I don't care if we're not getting Guardiola. Our owner needs to be more bold than just feeding off the scraps of Iberian and Italian royalty. Strike gold with a clever younger manager.
  7. http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/chelsea-starlet-ruben-loftus-cheek-7052658 Hopefully, we see rotation under Hiddink and some young players getting time.
  8. pretty sure it's David Moyes. <<gollum!>> Does anyone know what transpired between January 2013 and May/June 2013 regarding Jose and Pep (Chelsea and Bayern)? In any case, Guardiola's fine for me even though I don't call myself a fan (yet). I would tend to agree on the rough idea that Chelsea need almost 10 new players if you break it down like this: 2-3 new fullbacks, 2 new CBs, 2-3 new CMs, and 2 strikers. I guess one is Koke, another will be Stones. Anyone been watching Gaya at Valencia? I've not bothered with La Liga (again).
  9. I've been watching a couple videos of this guy and I think he's definitely above Icardi's level on finishing and on ball skills. If we're buying a striker, I wouldn't mind having a shorter striker because there aren't many big guys right now that impress me much. Wolfsburg willing to sell to our Dutch manager though? Bas Dost is a good one for a tall guy.
  10. OK. I guess you've decided that it is merely an opinion after all and you're not being absolutist, so you're OK buddy. thanks.
  11. you're confused if you think that your opinion is equivalent to what's "right and proper." Don't conflate your opinion on the matter with what is "right and proper."
  12. ??? I don't think you're even being honest discussing the topic from this angle because you're siding with the management by default, or maybe Mourinho in particular. An owner doesn't need to always side with the manager and I'm glad he does not. In the case of AVB, the story stunk because of the players. In 2015, dumping the manager was the better choice (if you consider dumping all revolting players as the alternative).
  13. But it's going to happen and not just at Chelsea, not just in football.
  14. The only problem about tomorrow's match is Sunderland have a substantial center midfield. I guess Chelsea COULD start a substantial center midfield too if the manager were willing.
  15. "During international weeks, when most of the squad were away, the Under-21 coaching staff were brought over from the academy to take the training. During those periods Mourinho's staff put their feet up. The Chelsea manager would often amble out towards the small group of players, chat to some of the coaching staff, and leave them to it. For that reason, he lost the respect of the fringe players. After Mourinho's departure, there is already talk at the club of 'rebuilding' Ruben Loftus-Cheek, the young player whose confidence has been destroyed by the Portuguese coach. It is safe to say that there is not a single person in the academy building who is shedding a tear for the Special One. When Mourinho wanted to turn it on though he still had it and he simply blew the players away with his devotion to the tactics they would use for the clash with Tottenham at White Hart Lane on November 29." 16. merry christmas to all. good riddance. let's see some football played.
  17. oh myyyyy... the news on on Sheva returning to Chelsea giving me a laughing fit.
  18. Ranieri, Mourinho 1st run, Ancelotti, and AVB were all good calls for managers even though AVB didn't meet expectations. Arguably, Chelsea could have kept Ranieri, but I'm not going to argue that one. I don't understand why Ancelotti wasn't kept TBH. If Ancelotti were given good wingers or AMs like we have now along with some more good CMs and fullbacks as time progressed, I'm sure he would have done well enough.
  19. finally, we're nearing the end. bury this saga in the dirt and move into the future.
  20. cheering for Sunderland never felt better. Mourinho out; keep Hazard.
  21. I can't even laugh. The commentator says: "Twenty minutes for Chelsea to save themselves." Does that mean there's no saving Jose, or does it mean that we know already Jose will be staying? Does it mean that we can't be saved because of Jose?
  22. good thing we bought Pedro. a quality AM is always needed on a side that does nothing with the ball. but seriously: hopefully Pedro gets to see some good times at Chelsea --without Jose. and on another positive note: Loic Remy looks great in white!
  23. three at the back. Jose out of ideas, out of his depth.
  24. I enjoyed Vardy up in Diego's face. weak sack of crap.
