??? I don't think you're even being honest discussing the topic from this angle because you're siding with the management by default, or maybe Mourinho in particular. An owner doesn't need to always side with the manager and I'm glad he does not. In the case of AVB, the story stunk because of the players. In 2015, dumping the manager was the better choice (if you consider dumping all revolting players as the alternative).
-
But it's going to happen and not just at Chelsea, not just in football.
-
The only problem about tomorrow's match is Sunderland have a substantial center midfield. I guess Chelsea COULD start a substantial center midfield too if the manager were willing.

"During international weeks, when most of the squad were away, the Under-21 coaching staff were brought over from the academy to take the training. During those periods Mourinho's staff put their feet up. The Chelsea manager would often amble out towards the small group of players, chat to some of the coaching staff, and leave them to it. For that reason, he lost the respect of the fringe players. After Mourinho's departure, there is already talk at the club of 'rebuilding' Ruben Loftus-Cheek, the young player whose confidence has been destroyed by the Portuguese coach. It is safe to say that there is not a single person in the academy building who is shedding a tear for the Special One. When Mourinho wanted to turn it on though he still had it and he simply blew the players away with his devotion to the tactics they would use for the clash with Tottenham at White Hart Lane on November 29." merry christmas to all. good riddance. let's see some football played.
-
oh myyyyy... the news on on Sheva returning to Chelsea giving me a laughing fit.
-
Ranieri, Mourinho 1st run, Ancelotti, and AVB were all good calls for managers even though AVB didn't meet expectations. Arguably, Chelsea could have kept Ranieri, but I'm not going to argue that one. I don't understand why Ancelotti wasn't kept TBH. If Ancelotti were given good wingers or AMs like we have now along with some more good CMs and fullbacks as time progressed, I'm sure he would have done well enough.
-
finally, we're nearing the end. bury this saga in the dirt and move into the future.
-
cheering for Sunderland never felt better. Mourinho out; keep Hazard.
-
I can't even laugh. The commentator says: "Twenty minutes for Chelsea to save themselves." Does that mean there's no saving Jose, or does it mean that we know already Jose will be staying? Does it mean that we can't be saved because of Jose?
-
good thing we bought Pedro. a quality AM is always needed on a side that does nothing with the ball. but seriously: hopefully Pedro gets to see some good times at Chelsea --without Jose. and on another positive note: Loic Remy looks great in white!
-
three at the back. Jose out of ideas, out of his depth.
-
I enjoyed Vardy up in Diego's face. weak sack of crap.
-
Question: how can Jose survive as manager after today if Leicester win 3-0?
-
seems the same old, same old to me. just a different day and maybe it feels much more dreadful today given the timing and the opposing side and manager.
-
around 41 minutes of the 1st half the reality of Chelsea is clear and the word is: PATHETIC. pathetic.again.
-
yeah, he's a striker. sure. and he's going to the lead the attack in PL?
-
there's nothing to discuss here. another AM is not needed for the 1st team right now, so why any discussion on such players?
-
You can repeat that one again every month and every year Chelsea look the way they have (while also spending heaps of cash above beyond most clubs). I've been waiting for the development since Arjen Robben and D. Duff left. still waiting. Yes, Chelsea are not one of the elite clubs in European football. repeat.
-
Never been a better moment for all players to take a dump on the pitch rather than play their best.
-
buon Natale! Merry Christmas! It's not Gary Neville, nor Guardiola, It's not Simeone, not Emery, It's not a bit of Koeman nor Parma Ham! Sack'm in the evening! goodbye Jose Ciao Conte! buona notte!
-
yeah: wasting attacking talent. the talent we didn't really have when Drogba was still young enough. The lineup today with a better RB, another CB, a different CM WITH a different manager WOULD DO WELL RIGHT NOW --but, Costa is questionable until we see him under a different manager. I still think he's weak and a terrible liability for his behavior though. dunno who the manager should be. I've been watching less and less football in the past few years. My thought is take someone the age of Bournemouth's manager (the AVB age).
-
really wish this crap manager would leave so football can be enjoyed again. I don't even really care to turn on my TV at the weekends for the PL. Liverpool are more interesting even if they don't have a superb lineup.
-
Ivanovic MotM. gotta be. new chant: "you don't know what you're doing."
-
anti-football puts me to sleep. this is a better way to kill: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Euthanasia_Coaster someone (--the MANAGER--) needs to decide that his side are NOT going to play an NBA football match wherein certain dribbling players are expected to "unlock" defenses like a Kobe Bryant/Lionel Messi.... and INSTEAD PLAY FAST and incisive with lots of movement and passing. watching the WRONG CLUB for that though.
