  1. Amen to that. It all depends on Mourinho being fair and selecting players based on merit. He's been far too harsh on many and way too lenient on a few, or one to be more specific.
  2. I wish we signed Verratti, an absolute dream of a player, having said that, I would love Thiago Motta here as well, who worked under Jose at Inter. It all depends on the way Mourinho wants us to play, what we can't continue doing is pretending we have CMs who are good enough to achieve anything.
  3. Jose complained about the way the smaller clubs just out and out park the bus in pretty much every game they play against the big 4, something I had also noticed, not only here but in La Liga as well. It's up to us to deal with it really. I thought the Newcastle game was a bit of freak result, unless we play under heavy raining conditions and a border line waterlogged pitch week in week out from now on.
  4. It's funny how the best managers around don't happen to agree with you. You've said many a times you never wanted Oscar at this club because he's taking the place of an academy player, your way of seeing things is preposterously flawed.
  5. So it's Falcao and a midfielder to partner Ramires in January then. About fucking time.
  6. I think he's nailed on to start on Sat. I've got a feeling he's gonna bag a goal or two.
  7. Not a sniff of first team football so far this season, which is a shame as he's a classy player. He needs games, he should have joined our Chelsea gang at Vitesse. Mourinho could have told him he wasn't in his plans this season..
  8. Not quite what you said then... I think he's been underplayed, he's a quality player.
  9. Have you been watching games blindfolded or something? His assist for Eto'o's goal in the Champions League is an example of him going past players.
  10. You're a perfect fit to support a Championship side if that's what you think wins games at this level. There are plenty of talentless grafters in the lower divisions. Luiz bossed a Champions League final whilst carrying an injury, work rate and commitment are nothing but a given for him.
  11. I think the last few matches for us and for England have shown Mourinho what he was reluctant to accept, let us hope he rectifies what has been our achilles heel so far this season so we can finally dominate the midfield in a game for once.
  12. I don't think he's the closest thing to a DLP as I see KDB or Oscar much more suitable to doing that. He's only playing because Mourinho is here.
  13. Your argument would make sense if Cahill was consistent, which he pedantically is, consistently terrible that is... If Luiz doesn't get in the team he'll leave in January, probably for Barca, and I wish him good luck. As things stand he doesn't quite fit Mourinho's system, the way we have been playing deep to compensate for Terry's lack of pace/mobility. Under ABV or Rafa he was at home and Terry was like a rabbit caught in the headlights. They're both players I like and admire, but the system that fits one doesn't suit the other. Luiz is immense for Brazil because Scolari plays an intermittent false third centre half in Luis Gustavo who seamlessly fills in when either Silva or Luiz are up the field. It works a treat, but our pivots can't even do their own jobs let alone cover for other players, meaning there's no chance we could try something similar as of now.
  14. No a chance, Kagawa is a decent player but not a patch on Mata. He can't even get on the team whilst players like Cleverley keep getting picked, since he's moved to England I wouldn't value him a penny more than 10 million.
  15. That's what I'm thinking, Liverpool probably gave them a blatant no, so Atletico moved onto KDB instead, I just hope we don't sell him. I think a loan would be ideal, La Liga would a great place for him to get a game week in week out.
  16. Would that be on loan? I heard Simeone is also very keen on Liverpool's Coutinho a month or so ago.
  17. I hope he doesn't start on Saturday. We can't mess about, Mikel should be the first name on the team sheet.
  18. This guy is a joke, I really don't see the point when one's bias demands one to lie to oneself to make one feel better. I'm a Chelsea fan but that doesn't cloud my judgement when it comes to our players and players from other clubs. I like Chalobah and I think he could make it here, but saying he's comparable or better to/than Pogba is absolutely preposterous. He never replied to my post when I said that when Pogba left United, he had Juve and many other top clubs lusting for his signature whilst Chalobah had to content himself to another loan to a Championship side, hopelessly arguing that's only because Pogba's older. The fact that Pogba moved to Juve last year when he was Chalobah's age means nothing to him, as in his head all our youths are a blink away from being Messis and Ronaldos....
  19. Good point. The good thing is that none of them played that much football during their international break, Ramires being the one who played the least if I'm not mistaken, which means he should be alright. Willian hasn't played that many games anyway as he took a while to get fit, and Luiz has been on the bench here, the only one I see Mourinho pondering resting is Oscar.
  20. It's a good thing you're not in charge of our club if that's what you believe.
  21. I'm not denigrating our youth players, I'm only being realistic. That's all. As for the seniors, it's no secret Lampard should have retired by now and Cahill is nowhere near good enough to put on our shirt.
  22. I won't bother reading the rest of your post, but do you not see the difference between Chalobah and Pogba? Pogba ended up at Juventus and had many other top clubs after him, Chalobah could only get a loan to another Championship side. Football is a business replete with scouts, believe you me, they know what they're doing. It's by no means a coincidence Pogba is the superstar he is today.
