Chelsea doesn't need leaders, CHelsea needs one of two things (or even better both)... Chelsea needs World class players like Ronaldo Messi or Neymar, or even Bale that can score more than 20 goals in League... or CHelsea needs to have a team that run like hell and behaves like a team. You can check the last winners of the CHampions League and see what it takes to be European Champions... 2009 - Barcelona with a lot of talent and playing like a team. 2010 - Inter. A team playing like a team. 2011 - Barcelona with a lot of talent and playing like a team. 2012 - CHelsea (with a lot of luck, clearly the worst European Champions in the last 20 years). 2013 - Bayern a team that playes like a team, 2014 -. Real Madrid with a lot of quality 2015 - Barcelona with a lot of quality CHelsea doesn't have the money to buy increadible players anymore, and some of the stars think they shouldn't run... so... it's going to be really dificult. By the way in the seasons when City had a FFP problem... still spend more money than Chelsea.
-
LOL. Bertrand... Ake... David Luiz... LOL, LOL, LOL. When Mourinho arrived here there was no midfield, no ST, no wingers (only Hazard), the team CHelsea has right now is a lot better than the one Mourinho started with 3 years ago. Mata? Really??? The guy failed with Mourinho and 2 other coaches at Manchester United... and you are crying about Mata? Face the reality and stop making excuses. There are some facts that anyone can point: - Chelsea spent 3 or 4 times less money than Manchester City and Manchester United. Chelsea spent less money than Arsenal in the last 3 years. - CHelsea had a very bad team 3 years ago, a lot worse than today... Again... stop making excuses for the next failures of this team. It's normal to be scared when City will have Guardiola and a lot of millions to spend, and Man United will have Mourinho and more money than he had at CHelsea... By the way CHelsea won in the last 15 years 5 big titles, Mourinhoi was the one behind 3 of them... so... you are right to be scared about the future.
-
Destroyed? Mata is still useless like he was for Chelsea, Lukaku a good ST for mid table teams, and De Bruyne was the only one capable of doing something for a big team (and still far from the quality many here think he has)... Chelsea still has Hazard and Oscar for example (but they are also not that good when compared with the expectations people had on them). CHelsea bought Costa, Fabregas, Pedro, Willian, Matic... all of them WC players. Do you want to know what is the problem of CHelsea? I will tell you. CHelsea spent 4 times less money in the last 3 years (net spending) than Manchester City and Manchester Unites, and at that time Manchester City had a problem with the FFP. That's the problem of CHelsea... Another one is that Hazard is really great but far from the quality of Cristiano, Messi, Neymar, and other great players in the game... but he thinks he is increadible. The same happens with players like Costa... Chelsea needs to spend money. CHelsea had 3 years ago no ST, a midfield with Lampard, Ramires and Oscar, no wingers... 3 years after Chelsea has a well balanced starting eleven but no bench... If CHelsea can't spend money, CHelsea will win nothing in the next 10 years. THat's the reality. Roman is the one to blame when the team is Champion of England and the Manager has no money to buy players.
-
About Mata CHelsea can get him again when Mourinho arrives at Manchester. At Manchester people thjink Mata is a useless player and they are right. Oscar is so... but so bad...
-
Not true. First, CHelsea has a structural deficit... CHelsea had to sell players... at least 1 great player every season to comply with the FFP. That's a fact... It could have been KdB, Lukaku, David Luiz... or Hazard... but at least one great player every season. The right value to analise it's the net value. If you have David Luiz and you sell him to buy Jones you have 1 good CB. If you buy Jones and keep Luiz you have 2 good CB. I think you don't need to be a rocket scientist to understand that the important value is the net value. For example PSG has 3 WC center backs... CHelsea can't do it. Teams with a lot of money like Man City, United, Real, Barca, PSG can have 2 or 3 great players in each position, and Chelsea can't . We will see what can do Chelsea in the next seasons agains Manchester City with Guardiola, Man United with Mourinho, etc.
-
I think the only option is Simeoni, since we can't have Guardiola or Kloop... I don't think any other manager can compete for the title with the financial conditions Chelsea has... specially when other teams will have Kloop, maybe Mourinho at United and Guardiola at City,
-
Best player in the season, and the best professional in this football club. Chelsea deserves more players like this one, and less "superstars" (CHelsea doesn't have super stars... Chelsea has players that think they are super stars).
-
Last season I think some people were comparing this player with Cristiano Ronaldo, Messi or Neymar... What a joke.
-
Mourinho is going to be the next Manchester United coach. At the end Mourinho wins again... Net spending in the last 3 years for Manchester City: 2015/2016 (-95M) 2014/2015 (-55M) 2013/2014 (-73M) ------------------------------ Total (-223) Net spending in the last 3 years for Manchester United: 2015/2016 (-27M) 2014/2015 (-101M) 2013/2014 (-73M) ------------------------------ Total (-181) Net spending in the last 3 years for Arsenal: 2015/2016 (-10M) 2014/2015 (-62M) 2013/2014 (-28M) ------------------------------ Total (-100) Net spending in the last 3 years for Chelsea: 2015/2016 (-21M) 2014/2015 (+6M) 2013/2014 (-37M) ------------------------------ Total (-52) Yes, Mourinho spent 4 times less money than Manchester City and Manchester United in the last 3 years. Now Mourinho will have money to spend, will coach the second or third richest club in the world, will have a decent stadium... When do you think CHelsea will win a big title again?
-
6 months ago I said exactly the same in here... when everyone was telling how increadble he was. It's not normal to have a 18 year old player in his debut and he doesn't run in defense. I think I never saw something like it. Even Crsitano when playing for Sporting run all the pitch trying to help. With this kind of behaviour he won't go that far. Against Sporting he had 2 good moments and at the end played well, in this 2 last games he showed almost nothing. RLC has the quality in his football to be a really good player, and more important has the physical attributes that makes it easier for him to reach the top level. But if he doesn't want to work he has no chance.
-
For me in the history of football we can make a ranking like this: Pelé, Maradona, Colkett, Messi, Di Stefano and Crisitiano.
-
I would have him here without a doubt. He will be second ST, he is a huge improvement when compared with Drogba. With him we can begin the game with 2 ST when needed, he is the kind of player we can change the system sometimes to have both ST on the pitch. United was a mess, and they had 3 world class ST, any player would have problems in there at that moment. We are different, we just have 1 world class ST he will have a good chance. I think this is the continuation of the great deales we are doing in the last 2 years. Buy or take on loan a player that was world class, that would accept a secundary role, for a lot less money than he would cost 1 or 2 years ago. If Drogba could do it , Falcao that is 10 times better than him today, can do it also.
-
I liked SOlanke, in the 2 situations he had made the right decision with 2 difficult shoots. Really good also with the ball. For me Boga needs to be faster, great quality but he seems a little heavy. About Brown...he doesn't seem to have the quality to do it, but many times there players like Callejon or Pedro that are not that good and still are great for the best teams in the world.
-
The only problem is that when you the best coach in the world you can have a ego... when you are a John Doe it's quite pathetic. We will see what he can do when he plays for a big team...if any decent team buys him They had a really bad problem... De Bruyne played like shit.
-
Loftus Cheek is older than all of them, that's one of the reasons why he will be the first next season. He is also physically prepaired and has a lot of quality. Playing for the u21 it's not the same when compared with the Premier League. Maybe Musonda will have a problem. I think Boga is better and one of them will have a problem here because only one will have a fair chance.
-
I totally agree. We should choose 3 players now to bet on them in the next 2 years, the others will need to wait or go on loan and prove they are good enough out of here. We can't have all of them. For example we have Solanke and Bamford... we can't have both. we need to choose one right now. We have Boga, Musonda and Izzy... In reality only 2 of those should have a chance, but a real chance. I would bet on Boga, Loftus and one of the CF. THe others will need to wait or try to do it out of here. Ake couldn't do it, he needs to go. He doesn't have the phisical habilities to play hwere he is supposed to play. From what I saw... Boga is clearly the most talented player between all the kids.
-
Ake will have a lot of problems to be a DM in Chelsea or any other top team because he isn't strong enough. We can give him a chance in the LB if anyone in the club believes in him... but in the DM I can't see it. It's a position where normally you want to have big guys, or if they are not big they need to have a huge quality.
-
As i said in the transfer thread we need to pay attention to what will happen in Bayern. It seems that Byaern fans don't like him. It's a great oportunity to get one of the best young talents in the world for a fair price. If it works we have one of the best players in the world with us... if it doesn't work we sell him for almost the same money (if we buy him for something like 30M£). We need another AM. I would buy him without any doubt if Bale is not an option..
-
I am saying he was poor. It happens... but since he is an academy product for all of you he won't play poorly in one single game in the next 2 or 3 years. The responsability of any bad thing he does will be always for others,,, the excuses started already in the first 60 minutes... We all know how these things are...
-
The problem is that I saw the first game of Messi, Ronaldo, Quaresma, Nani, Mourinho (many Sporting players) Iniesta, Thiago, Busquets, I saw the way Jese played in the his first games in Madrid, Morata, etc. I'm sorry if you are watching for the first time a young player having a chance... this was far from impressive, and in reality was poor for a 19 year old player. I'm not saying he is bad, he won't work, I'm saying the truth about this game...
-
Yes it's always easier to put the responsability on others... He was many times behind Mikel, like Cesc is many times behind Matic, and even Oscar that is the number 10 many times is behind Matic and Cesc... it's how it works, I don't think it's the first time we watch football. Yes he was poor.... get over it. First start and you are already making excuses.I hope we don't have here another Oscar that was needed 3 years to realize that maybe he is not that good... Look at him, the same way would look to any player in this team, or any other player in other team and judge him based on that... He needs chances, he will improve a lot, maybe he can do it... but stop saying he was really good when he was in reality poor. In the first game he was good against Sporting in the minutes he had, in this one he was not. For example Ake had an a lot better game than this one some months ago (including an assist I think) and even in that game Ake was far from impressive.
-
He didn't play number 6, he played number 8 in the doble pivot, like we always do. You just have to compare what Ramires, Fabregas or even Matic (in the number 6) usually do in our midfield to see that this was not good enough. But if you want to fool yourself about it, just do it. I'm ok with it. He played as good as Mikel, but the only problem is that the job o Mikel is mainly to do that, and the job of the number 8 is different. If this is an OK performance I think we should have Ramires forever with us because compared with this he is world class.
-
Yes he was nothing impressive. Get over it. One of the worst performances of any number 8 in the last 2 years, even Matic playing in the number 6 many times offers a ton more in attack than he did. He has a lot of time to improve, it's just one game and he will get more oportunities, but today this was not good.
-
I never rated Pedro in Barcelona but there he always did a great job. We are a team 1 or 2 stpps behind Barcelona and if we still don't have the money to spend 100 or 150M£ (net spending) we need to be creative. Do the same we did with Fabregas, the same Napoli did with Callejon, etc. Barcelona and Madrid players have a llot of expirience in the big stages and a lot of quality and almost every player from that teams can be an interesting player for us. Look at Pique. A player with problems at Barcelona 6 months ago but still almost no one wanted him here... I think things changed a lot. Alexis is another example of a great player that had problems in Barcelona, If we can get for a small price a player from that teams, and if we need players in that position, usually we should do it.
-
He deserves it, it must be difficult to play 1 minute in one game, and 10 in another for a kid that wants to show what he can do. Played well against Sporting and I hope he can do it in the next games. I was expecting to see him run more in the game against Sporting, with more desire (something normal when a young player starts to play) but with the ball he was really good. Well deserved chance.
