  1. Past hour
  2. I'm not saying there aren't issues with Maresca. He had his problems for sure, with bizarre subs and players out of position, but I can never truly call him out or anyone else without looking at the tools he has to work with. Jamie Gittens? Delap? Badisahile & Tosin? Until Everton or Sunderland actually finish the season above us, those comparisons are moot. Maresca was literally manager of the month in November, so mid-season standings are just part of the big picture. Now, this is the big picture: The last two managers, Poch & Maresca, the two highest performing managers under BlueCo, have both WALKED away from the club. Not sacked..But walked away from it. For that to happen twice in a row, does not bode well for the club. Points to a larger systemic error. Maresca could at least win a few random cups. Lets see what the next manager (coach) does.
  3. Not gonna waste my money anymore in the near future to watch this team… still have to suffer and travel to Manchester on Sunday…
  4. It's new years day and cloudy brained is my norm on this day but aren't you mixing up Lavia with Caicedo in what player did to LFC? My memory is Caicedo was coming to us and LFC tried a late hijack that failed because Moises felt already committed to us.
  5. If it is Rosenior I am completely and utterly done.
  6. I have read nothing from any reliable source that any manager has been offered the job. The club has said that it will be a matter of days not weeks that the manager will be named. It all points to Rosenior to do that quick of an appointment.
  7. The board see players such as Palmer and Estevao as future money and not future stars The buy cheap buy twice analogy doesn't bother them
  8. doubt liverpool will spend again a lot of money after last summer. city never paid that much on players, not even close. psg possible but only for caicedo, but they also are not paying that much for one player.
  9. Caicedo showed just how cut throat he can be in the way he left Brighton and fucked over Liverpool. He is 100% off within a season or two. He will end up in one of the best teams in the world and we'll be like Spurs with Modric and Gareth Bale - a team that had elite talents but didn't put together a project to keep them because of the owner.
  10. Today
  11. I honestly don't think there is a head coach in the world that will stay for long in the circumstances we serve up. All we will get is people that are desperate and can use us to get a leg up in their career, and leave with head held high that failures were not their fault. Overall been a fantastic move from Maresca, now a famous, reputable manager, won trophies and managed (some) elite players, gets out now before things get worse and his name sinks with the ship. I would say his reputation is actually higher having walked away from the mad house. We should expect the same from the players too - Palmer, Caicedo, Enzo will move on in summer, or maybe the summer after. The project will continue to churn through both up and coming managers and players, never tasting much meaningful success but perhaps being just good enough to regularly stay in CL and get the occasional cup and a continuous stream of healthy revenue. This is the new normal under the owners until and if they decide to sell up.
  12. Looking at his managerial career it started in 2022. I know everyone has to start somewhere but thats only a few years ago! I dont feel this is wise..so it'll happen And was sacked from Hull because the owners wanted attacking football..
  13. It won't be a high profile name such as Xavi, Klopp or Alosno, they want a little lap dog that nods their head Only good thing about this is we may now see Estevao started more often than not
  14. Klopp and Xabi Alonso are not mid table gaffers. We are being rejected by average managers because they can see the constant interference from the board and what person in their right mind wants to work in an environment like that?
  15. Estevao on the flanks yes.although as a 10 he's not ready, maybe never will. Acheampong on the other hand is more suited for central role and gets put on the flanks
  16. Our new stadium: Biggest circus needs the biggest tent:
  17. Tbf we'll miss out on targets because we dont have the pull we used to also. Other clubs you can tell have a plan or aiming for something. No one seems to know what our aim is.
  18. It actually happened with Bayern last year.. They got turned down by Glasner, Klopp, Ragnick, Xabi Alonso.. Kompany was like 5-6th name on the list, and it goes fine.. Not saying our situation is the same but trying to find the silver lining.
  19. They aren't going to be their targets though so why I responded as I did to Pizy's claim that hiring Rosenior will mean we miss out on targets. For me I think we have enough experienced players in numbers, just not enough leaders.our average age is only 1 year and 2 days younger than Man City.but their veterans are far better and leaders. We hire people with only experience of young players, that certainly needs to change.
  20. I have become really disillusioned with Maresca’s style of play. Also the lack of Estevao being started. The kid is spectacular and wants to be on the pitch. Please, no more tiki taka football. I watch the Wrexham extended highlights, a little because of the show and a little because of their charge up the pyramid. I do enjoy how aggressive they play.
  21. Being reported now that ‘Multiple managers’ have already rejected us today!!! MID TABLE MANAGERS are rejecting us !!! 😂 We are finished!
  22. Great cause thats working out so well.... We dont need young players! We've been 'rebuilding' for for the last few years and not got anywhere with it. We need experience
  23. We only sign young players anyway.without conference league Enzo held back talented young players.if Rosenior does come in and establishes couple of them into the first team then those young players will still come.
  24. No shock what so ever and like I have been saying it's a two fold thing, this board are a joke, but also Enzo dug his own grave They want a yes man and Rosenior is exactly that, they do not want to spend money in January and by appointing a new manager IE Rosenior he will just come in and does as he is told which is exactly what they want. He won't ask for players and they will love that
  25. lol gone where whos gonna pay 150m for them
