  2. Oh ffs!!!! Dont tell me we have ANOTHER glassman! Emmanuel Emegha has suffered an injury setback and could miss the next six weeks according to reports in France. https://Chelsea.news/2026/02/emmanuel-emegha-Chelsea-strasbourg-update/ Chelsea agreed a deal with Strasborug to sign Emegha last year, and the Dutch international has penned a seven year deal at Stamford Bridge. Emegha will join up with Chelsea at the end of the season, and is expected to go straight into the squad and compete for minutes with Liam Delap and Joao Pedro. The Emegha transfer reportedly caused issues according to Strasbourg president Marc Keller, and the fans weren’t happy with the striker. Emegha scored 14 goals in Ligue 1 last season, and has seven goals in 11 appearances in all competitions this season. The 22-year-old hasn’t played since picking up a muscle injury in December, and it’s thought he was close to a return. However, L’Equipe have reported Emegha has suffered a setback and is likely to miss the next six weeks in a big blow to him and Strasbourg. The Dutchman is the club captain, and a really important player for Strasbourg, but it’s important he takes his time before returning to minimise the chance of ay further setbacks. Emegha has also had off field issues and was suspended for comments he made about Strasbourg in an interview, and Chelsea will hope his discipline improves before he arrives.
  3. Liverpool agree £60m deal for defender Jacquet
  4. Today
  5. I’m genuinely excited to see Sarr come back. Thought we made a mistake letting him go on loan at the start of the season. There is something about him that makes me feel he would be safer than the likes of Tosin, Badi & Disasi.
  6. Sarr, Anselmino, Acheampong, Hato all world class potential. Absolutely there's no point bringing another player like that.
  7. Palmer on bench for me if Estevao is presumably back. Has not been himself and I am not sure if this is the game where he can influence directly from the start. We will need a lot of support defensively and type of game he has struggled to impact before. Sanchez James Fofana Chalobah Cucurella Santos Caicedo Estevao Enzo Neto Pedro
  8. What is this based on? These are the team’s results in the league when Acheampong has started this year. Just the one loss in there. Don’t think he’s looked out of place physically at all 0-0 D vs Palace 2-1 W vs Liverpool 0-3 W Forest 1-2 L Sunderland 2-2 D Bournemouth 1-1 D Man City
  9. It is a transfer discussion thread talking about how we are competitive in the market and we regularly beat out BIG teams to quality names. I don't have to be explicit to that point. There is a level of common sense I feel is applied.
  10. His ability and comfort on the ball + his athleticism are still far, FAR better than Tosin or Badiashile. I understand that Trev and Fofana are ahead of him. But there’s no reason the first two should be. Any time Fofana is rotated out to manage his knees it should be Josh starting in his place.
  11. I am not that bothered about Jacquet. I am, however, enraged we did not grab a solid left-footed CB, as that is a far bigger need, especially with the recall of the right-footed Sarr now. Badi is SHIT! He and whatever LCB stopgap we use have and will costs us vital points. We have no other healthy lefty CB, as Colwill is out still for months. We should have nailed down Senesi (vet, the smartest move IMHO) or Karim Coulibaly (youth).
  12. My guess is he's not ready. Huge proteintal but not ready for the top 4/5 chance in the premier league. I saw everyone target him with phycial play every time he played CB. Just doesn't look like he's strong enough to play game to game in this league yet.
  13. That is a moving of the goalposts. Your statement had nothing to do with attainability. It was a simple declaration of top quality in an age cohort.
  14. “Chelsea rejected big money for Acheampong!” ”Several massive clubs have tried for Acheampong but Chelsea have said NO CHANCE!” ”Chelsea view Acheampong as massive talent and key part of the future project.” We hear these things over and over again and yet he doesn’t play. New manager comes in and he still doesn’t play ahead of players he hugely superior to. He’d have been better off out on a PL loan this season playing every game.
  15. He was unantainable which is why I didn't bother bringing him up.
  16. Erm, your are forgetting someone (and he just so happens to play the exact same position as both of them, RWer, and all 3 are 18yo)........ Lamine Yamal 🥇
  17. Yesterday
  18. Even so, it’s a very risky bet by Liverpool. Just a year ago he was playing in the second division. He’s a project player
  19. It is their job to be active and looking in the market. They probably did like the look of him but not for the conditions outlined. Things change on a whim in the business development and contracts world. No one is leading anyone on with a song and dance.
  20. This is why I’m not even upset about missing out on the player himself. I had literally never heard of him before we were linked a few weeks ago. I’m more annoyed at our stupid club directors for doing the same song and dance once again where they lead everyone to believe we really want someone and then don’t actually follow through. Then brief us all with PR as if we’re idiots.
  21. I think this last twitter sums all the situation and how can we judge Jacquet? Probably Liverpool offer him a starter role Colwill, Acheampong, Fofana/Chalobah and Sarr...
  22. Nobody even knew who Jacquet was before this transfer window.. that’s why it’s hard to believe anyone is annoyed about missing out on him. What annoys the fanbase is the constant bullshit PR nonsense, treating us like children, saying they are going for a player to then use the exact same excuse to why they didn’t. I’m personally not phased. I knew there was a strong possibility of this happening and that’s why I’m not investing my time or energy into transfer windows like years before. It’s best to concentrate on what we have and who we get once they are holding up the shirt and hope for the best.
  23. Its incredible how everyone says we were overpaying for him, who is he, doesn't look that good. Now Liverpool get him and we all act like we can't do business. You lot are mad. We got Estevao and Quenda who are the most talented players in the world at their age bracket. We got Caicedo the most coveted midfielder. Lavia who was wanted by major clubs. We literally beat out clubs that have massive names to do all this. You don't get every player - especially ones you think are overvalued which is potentially what happened here. It also seems like the coming over next season was a sticking point for both clubs so we may be looking at different options.
  24. Bet we’ll get a brief midday tomorrow from every journalist simultaneously saying “Chelsea looked around in the market and were going to make a couple of signings but then decided they loved the players they had instead. They’re expecting to go big for targets in the summer.” Fabrizio and others now revealing that our own tactic of hoarding loads of young CB talents swayed Jacquet’s decision. LMAO! That’s what BlueCo gets. He saw a much clearer path to becoming “the man” at Liverpool because we have so many options all around his age on our books.
