  1. Past hour
  2. Atalanta’s Charles De Ketelaere says they knew Chelsea would drop off in the 2nd half: “We knew intensity wise, they will drop in the 2nd half. We know they get a lot of goals against them in the 2nd half.”
  3. Everyone said after Leeds he shouldn't play again but in true Marseca style we see him appear once again only days later
  4. Today
  5. Tosin last night: lost 100% of his ground duels, committed the foul that directly led to Atalanta's game-winning goal, lost the ball four times, completed less than half of his passes, and didn't make one single tackle, despite us pushing more and more in the closing minutes. Disastrously poor performances from him are stacking up higher and higher as the season drags on. Maresca is suicidal (job-wise) if he plays Tosin again, especially if he starts him. Tosin is doing more to destroy our season than any other single player in the squad.
  6. The more Tosin plays the less he is worth. He is shambolic at this point. Easily our worst current Sr 25 man squad player.
  7. Donnarumma's salary plus signing bonus demands were insane It was always a no-go
  8. It seems mad that after having spent all that money in the last few years that we are…View the full article
  9. I highly doubt this board will take any action on Maresca. As someone said he is a yes man and that's it.
  10. Maresca is not the problem, but he is not the person who will show qualities in such moments and win certain matches instead of losing them. So same thing every season again and again .
  11. It does seem its revenue above performance with our current custodians. And they dont care which revenue stream it comes from.
  12. Maresca a yes man, Poch the same...we would never entertain the like of De Zerbi, Enrique etc....they wouldn't allow the team to be selected above them like Maresca
  13. You can see Moyes and Everton rolling into London and doing a number on us, with KDH pulling the strings and Grealish turning into prime Ryan Giggs.
  14. The last manager to survive around 3 years at Chelsea was Mourinho Conte had about 2 years, Tuchel less than 2, Maresca will be on about 2 years if he survives till next season.
  15. The one who should be covering for Caicedo can't even stay fit for 5 games (Lavia). Santos isn't a DM or a 10, he's a floater just like Enzo.
  16. Can't wait to hear what excuse he comes up with when Everton beat us.
  17. I don't care whether Reece is in the so called form of his life I would have liked to have seen Santos sat there last night considering he is needed to fill the void of Caicedo for the next two PL games. Reece should have been RB last night but what do I know Sick to death of this constant December downfall bollocks
  18. They’ll never go for De Zebri, I know he has Brighton ties but he’d potentially be too volatile a personality for BlueCo. He would want a lot more say than Maresca & Pochettino got in terms of recruitment also. He was extremely critical of Brighton’s recruitment in his second season which led to their desire to part ways with him. Could you imagine dumb & dumber’s egos here if he called them out for shockingly poor recruitment (despite most of their signings being gash)? He has never lasted longer than 2 years at the 8 clubs he’s been at other than at Sassuolo, which is alarming.
  19. Not specifically. His name was mentioned in another thread by other members also. It is 100% a case of ex player doing well elsewhere vs our players (mostly of a similar quality) in the same position are struggling. I don’t think Veiga would be the answer or a real improvement on any of our defenders. Hato also has the same flexibility in terms of positions he can play so his versatility, if it was ever an argument/consideration for some, isn’t something we don’t have either. He is probably on a similar level and has a similar ceiling - which unfortunately isn’t what we need - to the likes of what we’ve already gotten. I agree with some of the CBs you’ve listed as they are top quality, which is what we need. I have been waiting to see if this ownership group are serious enough to go out and buy top top players. For instance we needed a GK & CB, Donnarumma & Guehi were available for less than what it would’ve cost us to sign Garnacho & Giitens this summer. Yet they weren’t serious enough.
  20. Fucking shocking performance. I've banging on to get Maresca out for a long long time, I will never change, he's totally incompetent. Playing James in midfield complete shambles he's not a fucking MF, and someone tell Joe Cole that as well.
  21. Yeah, keep rotating the squad. It's obvious who you're trying to please. Maresca is not going anywhere anytime soon. This is exactly what the directors want.
  22. I think the board will actually congratulate him for giving minutes to their players, raising their value. Although Tosin's value is probably going down with each showing
  23. Give more exposure to the players like Tosin. Force Chelsea to play in the playoff rounds. Additional games. Even more exposure for Tosin. Genius move by directors and the manager.
  24. I feel this is a mischaracterisation of my stances. I said at the time it was a bad sale (of Veiga). I am a 'lead-from-the front person, I look at things at project in a future-forward manner, both shorter AND longer term. I also never said that Veiga was the type of player we should buy as a nailed-on starter. I simply think he is better than most of our CURRENT options. And as a CB, not a 'fill-in-a-hole' Swiss Army knife type. I have posted voluminously as to the great players we should buy (and should have bought), actual mainstay, nailed-on WC starter types.
