No doubt we'll have having this convo either a season or half a season down the line cause their appointment wont make sense.... If Liam wasnt connected to them he wouldn't have been appointed and its obviously a shame he was for so many reasons. Hopefully he can go somewhere and succeed. And for us..hopefully we can succeed!!! Or least try to!

yes, I agree, I was just pointing out that one never knows with Chels, as people were wondering why I starting up again with the listing of potential new managers already back then when in doubt, assume the worst with BlueCo and their structure and outcomes they fucking are the shit of shits

They would not dare go get O'Neill, I'm telling you now it would cause holy fuck What has to happen is a serious vetting process, a serious due diligence test and serious look at themselves and where they stop fucking butting. in. This has to be between Iraola, Glasner and Cesc, but with handing them full control of the team, no interference, no micro managing and allow them the transfers that are needed and go from there. Dead simple
-
Not saying they’ll go out and try to do whatever it takes to sign a big name coach or anything. But I DO think they’ll be scared of even further antagonizing the fanbase by appointing another Rosenior or Potter. It won’t be someone who excited or impresses us from minute 1 but I think it’ll at least be someone the players themselves can respect unlike Rosenior.
-
Oh cmon you think they are going to change it up now? Even with the fan outrage & protests? These are arrogant non footballing people who likely believe they are still doing the right thing. Even then, nobody who is elite is going to come here whilst we are run like this, with these sporting directors, stop kidding yourself on its not worth even trying to think they will. In fact nobody who is even mediocre is going to come here at this rate. It is most definitely going to be another novice with no reputation or leverage to work within their beloved structure. Potter, Maresca & Rosenoir weren’t top tier managers when we appointed them, they were guys who were lucky to even be in consideration for the position yet alone get it. And even then, Maresca was so discontent with the set up by the end of it. And he’d only been a first team manager for 2.5 seasons. If they really wanted to change they’d be announcing the co sporting directors & Joe Shields departures. Instead they will be fronting this “period of reflection” that was mentioned in the statement - yeah lets see. Be more of the same don’t get your hopes up. £125-150m spent on more u21 wingers when we need a GK & 2 x CBs desperately.
-
They go for another novice like that and they might get run out of London by fans with pitchforks.
-
👌💪
-
These owners are convinced they know what they are doing. They will keep making the same mistakes until they sell the team which will have all equity drained from it by that time.
-
Tbf if anyone comes in and loses this dressing room, which is full of nobodies who think their big time because they won a fucking glorified pre-season cup & 3rd tier of European competition, they need to step away from football. This group is full of fucking clowns, they need someone to rip them to shreds to humble them. Unfortunately the man we did have who could’ve done that (Tuchel), they sacked 4 years ago. And if they want O’Neill it will happen. Look at Rosenoir. Happened within 48 hrs. Indeed but it wont happen. It should’ve happened already by now. 2 managers ago.
-
Sacking the sporting directors will go a long way to convincing the elite managers to consider us
-
I think they're gonna consider that but I doubt they're gonna go through with it given how much pushback there'll be from both Chelsea and Strasbourg I just hope we don't get an Amorim-level fraud with this appointment. I can live with some amount of tactical competency and a character that's not gonna completely lose the dressing room.

Open to selling Lavia & Santos 🤣 The two of them were meant to be the cornerstones of this team going by some folk on here. Yet BlueCo just happy to cash in 😂 Lavia has been an absolute disaster of a signing. Surprise surprise, clubs interested but wary of his injury record - as we should’ve been when we signed him injured. Stupid cunts. Essugo also likely going. On loan. Sarr back to Strasbourg also doing the rounds. What a shit show 😂
-
I still can’t believe its taken a huge % on here so long to catch on to how fucking idiotic this ownership have been since that first full season in charge. Like how nobody seen this huge fall off coming 2.5-3 years ago is beyond me. People initially thought because they were throwing hundreds of millions at u23 players, they were doing the right thing, thought they were being smart, folk were creaming themselves at the net spend, signing the likes of Lavia, Fofana, Fernandez etc who would be brilliant players for us after playing 34 games between them before signing but it all soon unraveled and now look at the fucking nick of it. Clueless. No front of shirt sponsor. About 85 managers in the past 4 years. The same glaring issues that were there all those years ago. Not a fucking ounce of sense in the ownership or sporting directors. Glad the people who bought that shite also have woken up.

A big pivot into sacking the sporting directors and giving someone like Emery a bunch of control is exactly the kind of change we need if we are going to progress. Never happen tho. That kind of move would indeed be the kind of thing that could get me excited again, but it’s just not going to happen.
-
Nobody at that level is coming here. Emery has too much control at Villa, he won’t get that here, which will shut down any slim chance if any at all. It will probably be a sticking point for him getting a lot of jobs. It’ll be Gary O’Neill or someone of a similar ilk who will be too green for the job, will be unable to turn it down & succumb to the fucking idiots running the show. Thats where we are now.
-
I don't think he did too much wrong tactically in the first month and a half. The bigger factor was once he lost the respect of the players they just didn't turn up for him.
-
Think Emery would indeed be the top choice if I could choose anyone somewhat realistic but still likely impossible. But with Villa in the UCL again and being much more sensible and stable than we are I don’t see why he would come.
-
There was no plan to change manager. There is gonna be a lot of names floating before we narrow down on who's actually an option. I imagine most managers will be steering clear.
-
lol
-
Not the worst thing to sell some of our starters Signing a new contract till 29
-
No chance
-
Luis enrique for me...
-
The club has no shortlist or no number 1 candidate apparently. Says it all. They have no fucking clue. They’ve well and truly burned their chances of hiring another elite coach after the Tuchel sacking or any other half reasonable manager after Poch. They have killed their own project.
-
I would love Emery.
-
They can’t do that, even if they wanted to. They have spent all the money available and have put us into an incredibly bas situation financially. We have huge debts with massive interest rates. They are completely fucked. We have to sell our best players to generate cash.
