Enzo Fernandez: Chelsea future looks bleak after Madrid dalliance
Vesper replied to James's topic in Chelsea Articles
he is not an easy player to replace to a satisfactory degree, let alone find a clear improvement the clear (or even semi close) improvements are all crazy hard and/or impossible (plus SO SO costly) to pull: (bold are my top choices of those who are not impossible, and (a good good thing) all 4 in bold have substantial EPL experience) in order of valuation (mostly): Pedri Jude Bellingham Federico Valverde Dominik Szoboszlai (would be my top choice, but he is an impossible pull, as would be my 2nd, Valverde, and 3rd, Bells) João Neves Vitinha Declan Rice (I know, I know, I will get stick for placing him on this list, but he is what he is, a world class MFer, at least for moi) Sandro Tonali Adam Wharton Elliot Anderson Warren Zaïre-Emery Ryan Gravenberch Bruno Guimarães Aleksandar Pavlovic Aurélien Tchouaméni here are the top goal scorers at CMF and DMF in the top 10 leagues all club comps CMF (including pens) CMF (excluding pens) DMFs (including pens) DMFs (excluding pens) - Today

Let us hope he will try and stay and still buy into being a Chels lad. He finally seems to getting somewhat healthy. When fully fit, he is a bloody MONSTER of a player. I absolutely believe that deep down in my mind.

“The reason” – Ben Jacobs reveals why Chelsea have cooled their interest in Premier League ace Marcos Senesi https://Chelsea.news/2026/04/Chelsea-bournemouth-marcos-senesi-transfer/ Chelsea have reportedly cooled their interest in Bournemouth centre back Marcos Senesi according to journalist Ben Jacobs. The Blues have paid the price for not signing a replacement for Levi Colwill, whilst they failed in their pursuit of Jeremy Jacquet in January. Chelsea are expected to be busy in the summer, and are thought to very much still be in the market for a centre back. Chelsea cool interest in Marcos Senesi It’s believed Chelsea are open to signing players with more proven Premier League experience as they look to strengthen their squad. Co-owner Behdad Eghbali has said the model will be tweaked, but until that actually happens fans will very much remain sceptical. Chelsea have been linked with Brighton’s Jan Paul van Hecke, whilst Nottingham Forest’s Murillo is thought to be another name of interest. The Blues have also been credited with interest in Senesi, who’s expected to make a decision regarding his future soon, with his Bournemouth contract expiring at the end of the season. However, despite links with Chelsea, Jacobs has reported the Blues have actually cooled their interest in the centre back. “I’m told, contrary to reports and full respect to the excellent journalists that have said Chelsea, but I’m told that they’re not currently active, even though they considered Senesi in January,” he told The United Stand. “And the reason why is because Chelsea are prioritising height and aerial duel winning over only ball playing, and Senesi is very rounded and can play on the left or the right side as a centre-back, but not somebody that Chelsea are in negotiations for.”

💥🔵Chelsea are continuing discussions for Sunderland's Noah Sadiki. New talks have taken place last week between the Blues’ management and the player’s. Chelsea and Manchester United are the current frontrunners to sign Sadiki. Sadiki has not yet made a decision but will make his own choice depending on the sporting project. (@sachatavolieri)

This might also be damage control from the club after Enzo going to the media and begging for a move to Madrid and Cucurella's comments and the possibility of Barcelona coming in. One thing is clear, the current squad HAS to change. Lack of experience is killing us on the pitch. You can't rely on Sanchez, Tosin and co to be your most experienced players.

☢️🙂↔️Palmer: “The manager is good and when he has a proper pre-season and gets his ideas across properly and the way he wants to play he’s a top coach”
-
Pretty definitive from Palmer there. Now we just wait and hope he returns to his best level next season. Going to yet another summer tournament won’t help, though…

🚨 BREAKING: Cole Palmer: “I’ve got no plans to move club, and when I see it I just laugh. Obviously Manchester is my home. All my family are there, but I don’t miss it. Maybe I’ll miss it if I don’t go for three months or something. But then when I get home I think there’s nothing there for me anyway” 💥🔵Cole Palmer: “Reece won’t sign a six-year contract if he’s not spoken to the owners and the directors. Me and Reece spoke a lot. About things we need, players we need to sign and how things need to be” 🗯Cole Palmer: “If we finish in a Champions League spot it puts us in a good position to sign players that we need. We spoke to the owners and they’re sure of the players that are gonna do it...” 💫Cole Palmer on the Chelsea model: “We’re on the same page. We want to win now and I think if we add right in the summer we can compete for serious trophies next season. I don’t think we’re far off. If you sign the right players in the right positions and the right characters and profiles, I think we have more than enough quality to compete and be more consistent than we’ve shown over this season.” (@theguardian)

United coming off a poor loss and down to a skeleton crew across their defense. In true Chelsea fashion recently I’m sure we can predict what will happen. Thankfully, I won’t be watching.

Spurs in advanced talks with Senesi as a free agent

Well it says our policy has been no in season change. You can expect thus to finish with Liam until the summer. Seems like they learn from the horrible decision of sacking Tuchel. Maresca seems like something else if they didn't want to sack mid season.....
-
Yep, these quotes from Eghbali are absolutely some desperate PR meant to buy them some more time with the fans in hopes that dangling more transfer news will calm the supporters. We’ve now been hearing the same “just be patient, we’re building somehting special” shit for years now and things have only gotten worse.
-
As ever, paying the fans lip service, just another load of absolute shite rolled out to hopefully sell more ST's and shirts
-
They say we are going for more PL proven players, it's all right having that but we lack fucking leaders, not just PL quality What the actual fuck is wrong with these clowns
-
I get why people would be annoyed at the transfer link, however I have been watching him closely recently and he is a very good player. Reminds me of Modric. Obviously not as good as him, however excellent dribbling, close ball control, good passing range and ability to drive through midfield with the ball. I thought he was outstanding against United in that 2-2 game and was MOTM against Arsenal last weekend. He goes under the radar compared to Anderson and Wharton, but Alex Scott defo is a serious talent and will get better. I like him a lot. I think his value will rocket up in a few years so it is one of those, we don't go for him now, we will see how good he is in a few years when he is out of reach.

"But I think we're behind Liam" Wow, such confidence. "He had every attribute to be successful" You mean to mind his P's and Q's and listen to you like a good little boy.

🚨 Egbhali on Rosenior: “We had the opportunity to work with him daily for 18 plus months, so we knew what we were getting and we think he has every attribute to be successful here. He got off to a great start” “We’ve had a tough past five, six matches, but I think we’re behind Liam. Of course, it’s a results business, but we think he can be successful long term” (via CAA World sports conference) 🤢🤬 Erik Ten Hag Vibes!!!
