I dont see why he can't be a threat for torres. When he gets on the pitch and out performs him you can't just ignore that and keep playing torres. Rafa loves torres but I doubt he would be that stupid. Put torres on the bench for a bit and put a striker in there that can hopefully do some damage and let torres know there's more than 1 striker in town.

Isn't exactly what happened with Danny? If we are to judge players on their performances rather than their prices, Torres would have been sold in the summer of 2011.

But let's be honest. Danny never really impressed that much when he came on. Demba ba has been a beast all season and half of last season so has a bit more pedigree. I hope that he doesn't become another Danny and he shouldn't.

Cannot wait until he replaces Torres. Torres is back to his usual self. Flashes of good play and nothing much else. He (Torres) had a couple good chances which Ba would have put away. That's the difference a goal scorer makes (Van Persie is the best example and is the reason ManUre are where they are on the Table). He could thrive here. He has 13 goals in the league so far, a very good return. Imagine with our MaZaCar behind him.
