If I have to choose between Lampard hitting the knee of the first man with a feeble effort or Drogba at least giving the keeper nightmares with his unpredictable technique, I'd go for Drogba.

Though personally any freekick in line with the area should be hit by Alex if he's on the pitch...

Drogbas free kicks are actually exciting. Lampards ALWAYS hit the wall or go over. Last time he took a decent free kick was when we played ipswich in the FA cup a couple of years ago and we beat 'em 3-1 and he scored 2. Drogba takes a decent free kick and 80 percent of the time, hits the target/puts the gk under pressure.

Bizarre that this needed a thread though

Drogba actually has a freekick technique ala Ronaldo. Lampard just keeps it low and whacks it, hoping the wall will jump over it. I think it is worth a thread because if Drogba leaves in the summer, one of the players we buy (a playmaker hopefully), will have to be able to put in a good dead ball delivery and free kick, as Drogba is the best we currently have......
