I was reading about the Bundesliga's state of finances and I came across this;

Bundesliga clubs claim that they wouldn't raise prices much even if they could. "I've asked many club officials: Why don't you increase ticket prices until the first seat remains vacant in the stadium?" said Frick. "Their first answer is always that they would lose money from sponsors, because they want to see full stadiums." That strategy is paying off. The Bundesliga is thought to be taking in more sponsorship money -- some $800 million annually -- than any other league.

This science seems simple, yet the EPL & club seems adamant their strategy will work better. It's clearly not because our commercial revenue is poor**

And they can't just leave anyway because they still have the freehold to buy back although Gourlay will probably have started building before people have even said 'yes' to a move

Apparently KPF architects had been given the task of drawing up some stadium plans for the Battersea site a few months back so maybe they are finished, the club has approved them and are now trying to buy the Battersea site, not that I want to move there

As sad as leaving the Bridge will make me feel, in the era of FFP this is necessary. Look at the arsenal fans, they seem to be okay with leaving high bury now. Hopefully our new stadium is legit.

Fuck, i really wanted us to move to Earl's court. sounds sooo much more prestigious than Battersea. Ha, i actually ended up going to the battersea site by accident, not the best part of London I have to say, not terrible either though. At least its reasonably close to the bridge / is in the heart of chelsea country. Still would prefer earl's court by miles though.
