I'd consider him an upgrade, a very 'Neto' player. He is their captain. They have sold off 3 captains in the past 3 years. I doubt they make it 4 in 4. DH1988 1,348
My bad, should have clarified, would you guys trade Noni for Bowen? Irrespective of transfer fee etc. I find people either really really rate Bowen or they think he's trash.

Bowen turns 29yo less than midway through next season, and will have over 30,000 total career minutes (including 3 years and almost 10,000 minutes in the brutal Championship) under his belt , so no. Vesper 30,169
Referee involved in recent Liverpool controversy has been sacked https://www.caughtoffside.com/2024/12/10/david-coote-sacked-liverpool-controversy/ The PGMOL has taken the decision to sack Premier League referee David Coote following the controversy involving Liverpool and former manager Jurgen Klopp. The 42-year-old English official’s actions have led to widespread condemnation, including allegations of xenophobic remarks aimed at Klopp and other inappropriate conduct caught on video. PGMOL, which governs refereeing in English football, launched a comprehensive investigation into Coote’s behavior after a series of allegations surfaced. The findings of the investigation confirmed that Coote had breached the provisions of his employment contract, and as a result, his position as a Premier League referee has been deemed untenable. In an official statement released on X, PGMOL confirmed the termination of Coote’s employment, though the referee retains the right to appeal the decision: The full statement read: “Following the conclusion of a thorough investigation into David Coote’s conduct, his employment with PGMOL has been terminated today with immediate effect.” “David Coote’s actions were found to be in serious breach of the provisions of his employment contract, with his position deemed untenable.” “Supporting David Coote continues to be important to us and we remain committed to his welfare. David Coote has a right to appeal the decision to terminate his employment.” David Coote refereeing in the Premier League (Photo by Michael Regan/Getty Images) The controversy that resulted in David Coote being sacked The controversy began with a leaked video in which Coote made derogatory and xenophobic comments about Klopp. Reports suggest the footage dates back to the 2020–21 season, a time when Coote served as VAR during the Merseyside derby between Liverpool and Everton. In that match, Everton goalkeeper Jordan Pickford avoided punishment for a challenge that caused a season-ending injury to Virgil van Dijk, leading to significant criticism of Coote’s officiating. The situation escalated when another video surfaced, allegedly showing Coote snorting a white substance during Euro 2024. UEFA promptly suspended him while conducting their own investigation. Initially, Coote denied the authenticity of the footage but later made a u-turn, stating that he could not recall the specific content of the conversation. Following PGMOL’s investigation and initial decision, UEFA also chose to remove Coote from consideration for officiating matches within its jurisdiction, citing the ongoing nature of the investigation. Vesper 30,169
FA to investigate object-throwing by Tottenham fans during Chelsea game https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/5978951/2024/12/08/tottenham-objects-Chelsea-fa/ The FA will investigate after objects were thrown onto the pitch during Tottenham Hotspur’s 4-3 home defeat by Chelsea on Sunday. Objects were thrown multiple times from the South Stand — an area only home fans occupy — during the first half of the match, while Chelsea were attacking that end of the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. Cole Palmer, Enzo Fernandez, Jadon Sancho and Pedro Neto were among those targeted while they took set pieces or were in action near the goal. The FA will now review referee Anthony Taylor’s report on the match and investigate. Chelsea won the game despite being 2-0 down after 11 minutes, thanks to Dominic Solanke and Dejan Kulusevski. Two goals from Palmer, as well as one each from Sancho and Fernandez, then had Chelsea 4-2 up before Son Heung-min scored a late consolation for Tottenham. Both sides return to action on Thursday, with Spurs playing Rangers away in the Europa League and Chelsea facing Astana in Kazakhstan in the Conference League. LAM09 7,051
Typical Fulham. They had chance after chance in the first half. A sublime ball from Salah to Gakpo moments after the restart & they're level.
NikkiCFC 8,318
Iwobi is terrible. Bring Adama and use his pace. Liverpool will go more and more up, there will be space for second.
