Just wanted to say fuck manu the cunts, the only time we need them to do something and they shit the bed royally in 3 days. Good on Keane to shit all over Pernandes last night.

I fully expected Utd to drop some points over the two games but I definitely didn't expect them to drop all six.

Just one fecking draw would have been decent for us.

You made it sound as if we were playing exciting football under Lampard when it was all about just spamming crosses into the box. It benefitted only a few players in the team and it also helped that we played a lot more poor sides under Lampard than under Tuchel (Barnsley, Morecambe, Luton at SB to name a few).

Is it really Tuchel's fault that we don't score enough goals? The players have missed so many chances. Off the top of my head, we have Werner v Everton, West Ham, Real Madrid + Havertz v Arsenal, Real Madrid, Leeds, Brighton + Ziyech v Liverpool, Man United, Man City, Fulham + Pulisic v Porto, Sheffield Utd + Mount v Real Madrid.

The irony of complaining about not scoring enough goals is it was Lampard's focus on attack and his neglection of the defence that got us into trouble in the first place. That Lampard approach was working till we started playing the better sides in December and suddenly, it cannot be sustained because our attacking play was bad and our defence was even worse that it failed to give us a chance of winning games.

Tuchel has at least turned that around. Does he want us to score more goals? Am sure he does but again, it's not his fault that the players somehow contrive to miss chances, like against Real Madrid last week. If you compare shots, big chances created etc under Lampard and Tuchel, they aren't actually that different at all. (N.B. This was taken from an article that was written about 2 weeks ago and it's the stats for this season's Premier League)

Aspects - Under Lampard v Under Tuchel

PL Games - 19 v 14

Total Shots - 263 v 213

Average Shots Per Game - 13.8 v 15.2

Big Chances Created - 43 v 33

Average Big Chances Per Game - 2.26 v 2.36

Goals Scored - 33 v 18

Goals Conceded - 23 v 8

Another irony about complaining about the lack of goals under Tuchel is that we have picked up more points under Tuchel in less games than under Lampard (35 in 17 compared to 29 in 19), which in other words suggests we have stat padded the goals along the way in some games under Lampard.

Totally agree with the post. I cant believe anyone is coming out with such shite as we have regressed in attack after 1 game v Arsenal... where we have played 2/3 games where we probably have looked more dangerous than we have all season. Just baffling. But suppose people will complain. If it was as bad as people thought it would have been a concern months ago. But we’ve been getting results and keeping clean sheets...

1.3 goals per game under Tuchel vs 2 goals per game before is a regress.

Honestly, where was this complaint before the Arsenal game? It wasn’t a complaint or an issue. Just overreacting again as most people’s reactions have been since that game.... if Werner and Havertz hadn’t missed their big chances with Tuchel it wouldn’t be an issue and only bringing it up now after a 1-0 loss is daft where realistically we didnt create an amazing amount of chances but still should of won the game. This shows exactly why sometimes football fans are fickle and react in the heat of the moment. There has been a clear improvement and the games v Real and City in particular were big signs that our attack has improved significantly. But whatever.

Its really not a reaction to just one bad result!

Fans have been moaning about pur stodgy midfield for three years now. Added to that, this sessson we find our top scores have a whopping 6 goals and not one goal scorer in the top 40. That is a staggering level of under performing and i can't remember a season as bad as this in that area of the team.

We've become a team which relies entirely on keeping clean sheets and we end up with huge problems whenever any team scores, even really crap ones, like on Tuesday.

Yes, brilliant to get to some finals, but longterm this football under TT is unsustainable and has zero chance of winning the league.

Na disagree.

A top number 9, another midfielder and a CB and we will be right up there I would think. Our problems been conversion a lot of the time with Tuchel, was same with Frank first season for a period and same with Sarri also. We are getting chances be it big ones or half chances, obviously you can always make more but if we had beat Arsenal on Wednesday it wouldnt be an issue.... good teams be it City or Liverpool or whatever, the first requirements to win a league is keeping clean sheets. Its a good basis to start with.

Get used to it, just today at ESPN I saw them talk about whether Jose's Tottenham or TT's Chelsea is the more boring. Im like are you fucking getting paid for this biased untrue view? Bloody shambolic.....we will never ever get the credit we deserve. Fuck them and the horse they rode in on.

Your overreacting mate, what do you expect? Super defence and a super attack in 3 months? We create tons of chances, thats enough in itself, we will be more deadly next season. more players will come to help. Its more than sustainable, you build from defence, you get that shit in order and the rest will follow, be patient.

Aye it seems any loss is a crisis. Im not surprised though, we lose the cup v Leicester there will be folk calling for Tuchel to get sacked next 😂

Which would be an utter disgrace, folks just dont have the will to wait it out. It took Klopp 3 years to even get anywhere but progress was visible. We have shown much more than that in 4months under TT.

You might get some if we lose both Finals and don't get top four. Also, being on a short contract I thought that might put him in a bit of trouble with RA. But there's talk about him being offered an extension, so it seems like his position is probably secure for next season .

Pep resting players big time. Lets see what he does last two games.

Sure he'll want to give all his starting 11 some playing time.

Our players will be a bit tierd but they do have five clear days off before the final, so they should be well rested and ready to go by the day of the final. Probably just very light training and working on tactics during the week.

Long contract extensions seem to be the kiss of death! Just keep it short lol

Yep!

Jose being the only manager in the RA era to last longer than two seasons, proves your point.

Ridiculous way of running a club, but we do things differently from other clubs. But it has worked and that's what its all about at the end of the day.
