Vesper 30,175
Dele Alli injury: Tottenham midfielder to miss start of season https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/49229544 Tottenham midfielder Dele Alli will miss the start of the new Premier League season with a hamstring injury. The 23-year-old did not feature in Sunday's pre-season defeat by Inter Milan and Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino has confirmed he will not be fit to face Aston Villa on Saturday. "Of course we are worried," Pochettino said after the penalty shootout loss. "He's still so young and has had many, many hamstring problems the last few years." Englishman Alli played 45 games for club and country last season but missed all of February with a hamstring problem, and has scored just once in 2019. "He has to pay attention to what is going on in his body, but we are here to try to help him," Pochettino added. "It is a minor injury. Only a few weeks before he can be available again and be with the group." snip

Alli really was not that good last season, especially in the big games. He is not a good winger. Asa second striker, he is way better. Vesper 30,175
Virgil van Dijk’s incredible 65-game streak for Liverpool ended in Community Shield defeat https://www.squawka.com/en/news/van-dijk-dribble-stat-streak-ended-gabriel-jesus After 65 matches Virgil van Dijk has finally been successfully dribbled past, with Gabriel Jesus rounding the Dutchman in Man City’s Community Shield triumph over Liverpool. The imperious centre-back went the entire Premier League 2018/19 season without being dribbled past as well as the Champions League, but it has taken just one game of the new campaign for that incredible streak to come to an end. Van Dijk played a starring role as the Reds lost 5-4 in a penalty shootout to Pep Guardiola’s after drawing 1-1 at Wembley on Sunday, with the Citizens scooping successive Community Shield titles as a result. snip
Vesper 30,175
I have to LOL at fucking Manure. They are whinging about Dybala's 'outrageous' wage demands He is only asking for £190K per week, which isn't even that much of a raise (he makes close to £150K per week at Juve) meanwhile those thick cunts are paying that rotter Alexis £500K per week to sit in the fucking stands Messi (just for comparison) makes 1.7 MILLION QUID PER WEEK at Barca Ed Woodward is at another level of numpty manpe

Granted this window is not over. They don't need anybody. Rodri is a Fernandinho replacement. They don't need replacement for kompany. They can play Fernandinho/walker/Rodri there as 4th CB. The French newspaper (h/t MailOnline's Sam McEvoy) published an annual salary report breaking down the biggest monthly wages in European football before tax. The Argentine icon, 32, who allegedly earns around £1.7million per week at the Nou Camp, is in the final two years of his current deal. snip it sounds insane but he has brought in billions in revenue to them over his career so they are way ahead anyway

communicate 2,703
After watching charity shield, I don't see anything new but it is very difficult to improve these kind of team. City got Rodri who is better than Fernandinho on the ball. Pool got ox and lallana back who are better on the ball than Henderson, wijnaldum and fabinho. It should be another two horse race next season.

They have Laporte + Stones 4th choice? If either Laporte or Stones goes down or needs rest (they will) they have a massive drop off. Teams do not get by with only 2 CB's. Otamendi is a disaster waiting to happen. Mangala is even worse, he is a Championship level CB at best. I absolutely stand by my postulations. Walker is who I would go with as the 3rd CB option, not even close, especially if they have Cancelo to run riot at RB. If I am so wrong, then explain why Shitty are out trying so hard to grab another CB.
