2 deep, basically world class or near, at EVERY position

insane talent at most all

Ricard Puig is perhaps going to be a monster in a couple years if he keeps progressing

looks a baby Iniesta/Xavi in the making (NOT saying he gets to that level though, as those two are two of the greatest MF'ers in footie history)

Dele Alli injury: Tottenham midfielder to miss start of season

https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/49229544

Tottenham midfielder Dele Alli will miss the start of the new Premier League season with a hamstring injury.

The 23-year-old did not feature in Sunday's pre-season defeat by Inter Milan and Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino has confirmed he will not be fit to face Aston Villa on Saturday.

"Of course we are worried," Pochettino said after the penalty shootout loss.

"He's still so young and has had many, many hamstring problems the last few years."

Englishman Alli played 45 games for club and country last season but missed all of February with a hamstring problem, and has scored just once in 2019.

"He has to pay attention to what is going on in his body, but we are here to try to help him," Pochettino added.

"It is a minor injury. Only a few weeks before he can be available again and be with the group."

I actaully even think that losing Alli is not that bad for Spurs. Lucas can play his role and probably do better. Alli really was not that good last season, especially in the big games. He is not a good winger. Asa second striker, he is way better.

Virgil van Dijk’s incredible 65-game streak for Liverpool ended in Community Shield defeat

https://www.squawka.com/en/news/van-dijk-dribble-stat-streak-ended-gabriel-jesus

After 65 matches Virgil van Dijk has finally been successfully dribbled past, with Gabriel Jesus rounding the Dutchman in Man City’s Community Shield triumph over Liverpool.

The imperious centre-back went the entire Premier League 2018/19 season without being dribbled past as well as the Champions League, but it has taken just one game of the new campaign for that incredible streak to come to an end.

Van Dijk played a starring role as the Reds lost 5-4 in a penalty shootout to Pep Guardiola’s after drawing 1-1 at Wembley on Sunday, with the Citizens scooping successive Community Shield titles as a result.

I have to LOL at fucking Manure.

They are whinging about Dybala's 'outrageous' wage demands

He is only asking for £190K per week, which isn't even that much of a raise (he makes close to £150K per week at Juve)

meanwhile those thick cunts are paying that rotter Alexis £500K per week to sit in the fucking stands

Messi (just for comparison) makes 1.7 MILLION QUID PER WEEK at Barca

Ed Woodward is at another level of numpty

Shitty have been really quiet the past 2 years

Only 2 real players purchased, Mahrez and Rodri, £50m net spend and £25m net spend.

Granted this window is not over.

They don't need anybody. Rodri is a Fernandinho replacement. They don't need replacement for kompany. They can play Fernandinho/walker/Rodri  there as 4th CB.

What, seriously? Just his basic wage?

yes, and they are going to offer him a new contract (his runs out in 2 years) that keeps him there until he is 36 at even more

https://bleacherreport.com/articles/2819956-lionel-messi-tops-cristiano-ronaldo-antoine-griezmann-in-lequipe-rich-list

Barcelona maestro Lionel Messi has the highest wages of any footballer in Europe and earns close to double that of Cristiano Ronaldo before tax, while Antoine Griezmann ranks third on the rich list, according to L'Equipe

The French newspaper (h/t MailOnline's Sam McEvoy) published an annual salary report breaking down the biggest monthly wages in European football before tax. Messi rakes in £7.3 million per month, while Juventus superstar Cristiano Ronaldo is closest to the Barca phenomenon on £4.1 million per month.

BARCELONA are reportedly set to tie Lionel Messi down with an incredible new contract - which will keep him at the club until he is 36.

The Argentine icon, 32, who allegedly earns around £1.7million per week at the Nou Camp, is in the final two years of his current deal.

it sounds insane but he has brought in billions in revenue to them over his career

so they are way ahead anyway

Walker yes (which I am sure is why they are going for Cancelo)

the other 2 no (plus Fernandinho will be 35 by season's end, he cannot keep going at this level)

if they are relying on him as a CB back-up, they are mad, he played there 3 times in his last 10 plus top flight seasons, and one of those (2 years ago, in a back 3) he got lit up by Shakhtar Donetsk (his main club before MC) and Shitty lost that CL game

Rodri has never played at CB in a game in his pro career (even going back to 2014 when he was Segunda División B Grupo 3)

always a DMF, and earlier, 3 or more years ago occasionally a CMF
