The only questions we need to ask regarding Carlo is:

1. Can he turn around the way we are playing for the rest of the season?

2. Given the chance to add to his squad in the summer will we see improvement next season?

If Carlo is unable in any way to turn around the way we are playing for the rest of the season then you have to question if he should stay for next season. I like Carlo a lot but it is becomming very frustrating to see us play so poorly so regulary and see little inspiration off the bench.

Sure is a nice guy.

The antithesis of Mourinho or Ferguson however. Never challenges the footballing authorities, or referees decisions, Never plays any mind games.

I'm thinking winning managers need a ruthless, almost nasty streak, and vehement defence of their players and last season as with Grant he inherited the Rolls Royce......

Yes Carlo has made a few mistakes but he took over a squad that was getting on and managed to squeeze a double out of it, that took all his expierence.

What frustrates me is IMO this squad peaked out in 08/09 and i still think what might have been if we had Hiddink all season, it would not have suprised me if we won the league surpassing Jose's record points tally if we had Guus (or even Carlo for that matter) all season IMHO whistling.gif

Evrey great team suffer a season or 2 in transition and if we thought we were immune from that we are mental.

Bayern 06-07

Man.Utd 03-06

Arsenal 05-present

Barcelona 06-08

Lets hope its more of a Bayern transition than a Arsenal one.

Good point.

I remember Ferguson describing Mourinho. When he first arrived here, as the young gunslinger who has come into town to challenge the sheriff.

True he is a nice guy but i don't think he has it tactically. Look at last season in the champs league at the Bridge against Inter, when we were crying out for something different. He and Wilkins looked confused and clueless on the bench. Yes getting rid of Wilkins has hurt us and it was not Carlo's decision but he should be doing better. Losing 7 league games already this season(the same number as Birmingham) is just not acceptable.

He turned it round last year but I think his luck has ran out. If you consider what previous managers have been sacked for surely he is on borrowed time.

The difference between Carlo and Jose is that when things are going shit, Jose knows why it's going shit and what to do about it. Carlo's Chelsea team looks resigned to losing or not winning if things aint going so well at the start/middle of the match.

Looks like Ancelotti is on his way out ( if afforded comments are truth!)

Who is the problem though? Ancelotti or Roman??

No manager on the planet can do his job if the 'Big boss' makes costly decisions...........

Definately not Roman, unless he takes training and picks the team all the time.

Wait until we lose to Kopenhagen? There is no way we can beat them, and with this sort of performance, luck, or whatever it may be, we can never ever win the Champions League. We've been better but we haven't managed to win it, we're not going to win it now.

 We've changed managers enough, we find a manager that wins us the double and you want to change him? The fickleness of some of our fans is embarrassing.

Time for me to start getting fickle and embarrassing I think. His tactics are beyond me, woeful!
