2011. This will be the first year where no decisions will go against us. We will just get beat, out fought, out played, fair and square. We can't go on a Luis Garcia ghost goal from 6 years ago and let it affect us. Anyway we've revenged that by knocking them scouse bastards out a few times ,so it's not the reason. Last season we should of had pens but overall Jose out thought Carlo plain and simple.

yeah can imagine it, we get all the decisions in our favour but this year we just aint good enough to win it so still no UCL trophy.

To be honest, I'd rather have us not going through, because we weren't good enough, as opposed to being screwed out of it.

I see this as a test for Carlo's man management skills. He has to find the core of the problem and solve the problem before it rots away. But i hope there is no stubborness in the way to resolve the main problem, the fact is that we have had a system that has worked for a couple of years, and like every system, it comes to a point where it is needed to be updated to keep it up to the highest standard. We have already gotten read of the 'dead wood' as to say, but where is the new components to replace?

Either we need to start giving people Kakuta, Sturridge, McEarhan, PvA, Bruma, etc. a chance, or dip into the transfer pond or otherwise we are going to dwell into the abyss.

This has been my point for weeks, Ancelotti needed to shake things up after 5 or 6 games into this poor run of results, the senior players who are simply not performing need a big size 11 up their overpaid arse to get them playing and giving 100% again and you will get reaction if you start dropping them, Ancelotti has failed to do this and consequently the players know they can continue playing badly and still be picked every week. We have 5 quality young players that are champing at the bit to play so why not use them to give them some much needed experience and for me its a win-win situation for Ancelotti as he can use them to drop the senior players and therefore get a reaction to spur them into performing again.

I also agree that Ancelotti has to change the formation, we are playing far too deep and with Mikel, Ramires and or Essien playing behind the back four there is little or no service to the attackers, i would like us to go back to a 4-4-2 formation with Drogba and Anelka up top, with Lamps in behind and Sturridge and Kakuta flying on the flanks, Essien mopping up the scraps and i would also put in Van Aanholt ahead of Cole. I would also give Bruma a run at right back and make sure MacEachran gets more game time, lets face it we can't do any worse than we are now!

Ancelotti has kept with the same formation and the same personnel through this poor spell when Jose for example would of ripped things apart long ago including some of the senior players, he would also not let the likes of Carvalho or Ballack leave and would of made a stand for Wilkins so for me he has to -;

1, Grow some bollocks.

2, Stop being underminded.

3, Ask to be given a kitty to get at least 2 quality players in the window.

4, Change Personnel and give youth a chance.

5, Change formation.

If all that fails then we Fucked! :fainthv9:

^ He has got himself in such a position that he can't afford taking such risks in the league anymore. Shaking things up would be far easier in November and December but now we'll be practically fighting "relegation" to the Europa league spots.

If dropping Drogba for 45 minutes was the best he could do in December then I can't expect anything more than Kalou>Anelka or Ferreira>Bosingwa from now on.

Sad, but true.

Perhaps once we do have a good foot placed on 4th he may become a bit more adventurous. Though, this is more of a fantasy than it is a possible reality.

From the pre-match press conference:

"Roman never asked me to win. He asked me that his team play exciting football, this is our aim."

Sounds like Arsenal. How would most of our fans cope with not winning anything for the next 5 years?

"Carlo's obviously been manager of AC Milan for eight years, therefore that does come with a lot of pressure so Carlo is used to the pressure that comes with big jobs. The one thing that will be hurting Carlo won't be the media attention, it will be the way the team are playing. He's extremely passionate about his football.

"He's a very decent bloke and he is a fun guy and he is laid back, but he has this burning passion for the fact that the players aren't really playing to their full potential.''

'I don't want to do a table of the most important players at this club but obviously the players who have experience are more important compared to the others.'

Horrible news for the young players.

What good is experience when you perform like a Championship player..

Then again,

We have the opportunity to change something up front; it is more difficult to change something defensively but there are no untouchable players. If we feel they deserve to play, they play.

I know he's yet to prove this properly, but being aware is the first stage

It was party time at Stamford Bridge and Ramires fired over with the outside of his right foot before Chelsea fans showed their support for the under-pressure Ancelotti, who responded with a wave.
It’s very nice to hear the fans like that.. We all have to be close and the fans showed fantastic support. Obviously I was happy for this.

Good to hear after those stupid banners.
