Fulham Broadway 17,312
I do not understand what you have against sturridge FB, every time he start he scores, i just can not believe he has not been given a run of games.Alright BB hows tricks ? Nothing against the midlander, good player , (bit economical with the truth there to say every time he starts he scores) , but having watched objectively he's not the calibre to be a regular starter if more doubles and a CL win is what the board want.Eight , ten years ago when I and many others were happy for CFC to finish top half of the table -the Shed would have worshipped him. Now when there are expectations soo high -mainly from the board, owner, and the legions of 'fans' that have joined since 2004/5 season he is not the finished article required for Romans Roubles. That is what I think.
ZanSnake 1,211
Yes, but he's passage isn't complete, nor hasn't it even came to near finishing. He is just starting his part of the article.
eldo 868
I must admit that I'm surprised with his attitude. Ancelotti's treatment toward him has been almost disrespectful yet he has not made a big deal out of it. If he was as arrogant as I originally thought he would have some sort of reaction. You are disrespectful to a great man Carlo Ancelotti. The England Under 21 international would later score from close range but before that he found the target from inside his own half.So Daniel does pretty well in training. Great to see Lampard back in action.
SeB 1,281
I would have prefered him to score that kind of goal against Marseille instead of in training ! Against Marseille he tried his luck at the end of the match, but he totally missed his shot and it was too easy for Mandanda to catch itI would like Sturridge often to simplifiate his game, it's evident that he overflow talent, his skills, his expodability and his strength of shot are impressive, he is a sharp and very quick player and he is very motivated to make his place at Chelsea, he shows that every time he playsBut he often tries very complicated tricks, skills probably in order that Ancelotti would see its. It would have been better if he played as simple as he made against Zilina by exampleSince last year we have a problem with our attack, we have only 2 strikers and for me it's not enough for a club who want to play in 3 competitions during the season. We would partially resolve this turnover issue if Sturridge could show that he is able to play the third striker role on the duration, thing he isn't able actually I think

Only Drogba and Anelka have played in a central role this season.
SeB 1,281
The other problem is that Kalou only scores goals or plays well when he cames from the bench, not when he stars the match... Except the game against Atletico at the Bridge, I can't remember a good game from him when he started the match. He plays as a winger, but not because he is good but because he is one of our only 3 wingers in the team, that makes play him oftenly while he isn't a very good player...Play Sturridge as a winger doesn't serves to him because he is a player who plays in the depth, not a classic winger as Zhirkov who is able to cross among the line... Nevertheless Carlo keeps playing him as a winger... His way to use Sturridge for 2 years isn't very good I think, it's one of the rare thinks we can blame him for
