The Serie A Thread

You support them in Italy?

Serie A is surprisingly visible in America. 5-6 games are on ESPN3.com per round and I watch the occasional match in my down time. I don't support any Italian team, it's just easier to follow because I don't have cable.

True.

His agent did say he'd be up for it though..

He is, he said so himself. But Ajax and Roma still can't agree on the transfer fee (Roma wants to pay 5 mil, Ajax wants +/- 10 mil).

I've had a love affair with Inter for a while now. I am expecting the Scudetto this year or I will be very disapointed.

It will be a sad day when Zanetti retires, nobody in the history of Football has been consistently fantastic as him. A true one of a kind.

Ah I see.. Roma will probably pay though. They have money now & they're in need of a keeper as it is. Would be great for them too.

He has negociated other things in his contract. He will get 10 000 € (i do not recall the exact amount of money, but that was something about that) for each goal and each assist he gets. If he reaches a certain amount of goal, the club owner will offer him a car. And he will have a private jet to travel from Moscow to Makhachkala.

Ahah, unbelieveble isn't it.

By the way, it doesn't surprise me in the slightest (the fact he is agree to join a russian team). I do recall that in 2008, he was on the verge to sign for an Uzbekistan team, for €40m a year.
