Estonia demolished Northern Ireland in Tallinn.. 4-1... Kink, Zenjov, Vunk, Saag and unfortunate and bizzare OG from Piiroja... great great game. Mathematical chances of historic progression but I'm happy already that we've given a proper fight in which is a strong group (Italy, Serbia, Slovenia, Northern Ireland, Estonia, Faroe Islands)

We've brought in someone even more special than I initially thought he was (I think). Mata's intelligence is really impressing me, he has great talent as well. But we'll really need to speed up our game and move more otherwise we'll never get the most out of this very, very interesting player.

And this is just me being a bit greedy here, I'd like for him to dribble and take on players more. If he does that, he's the complete package.

Hope Mata stays well, bitter-sweet with Torres, no chances of injury but not sure how his confidence would fair knowing he's not even in the team. Must be precautionary anyways, despite the strength of the fielded players today.

Torres can't help us even if he is fit... :whistling:

England were shocking, Lampard was good woeful to be honest, very solid slow, didn't make mistakes good backwards passing.

There. Fixed it for you!

Lamps has been an amazing servant to club and country but it surprises me how blinkered one can really get! Yes he was tidy in possesion but I think its fair to say thats easy when you're practically on the toes of the central defenders! Correct me if Im wrong but he had two (YES TWO!) passes that actually went forward and opened the play up which eventually meant Rooney had to drop back and even berated his team-mates for not pushing up and surging forwards. This, one 50m cross field pass to Rooney and his missed shot were the only instances you could actually tell he was one the pitch!

Anonymous display yet again and begining of his end, Im afraid...

Edit: This might be an interesting read if you find some time:

Look at Lampard's chart against WestBrom (9 forward passes of note in 90 mins). Now compare that to the number of passes he sprayed left and right and you'll begin to see why we've been so poor in the last games. Hope Mata can bring an end to this :)
