Somethings just scare me! Check out this 4th grade science test: http://www.snopes.com/photos/signs/sciencetest.asp

This worries me as a parent, a teacher, and a Christian! These people are raising a generation of kids who will be close-minded and unable to think for themselves. It is scary.

No, this is what I call our "Bible Thumpers", those whack jobs that really are kind of crazy. The either home school or send there kids to small private schools where there is little if any state or federal input on or monitoring of what they do. The US does not have national curriculum but we need it.

Haha! Tooyoungtoremembervhs.com!! :D

I guess I am too old since I remember life before VHS and I remember beta tapes too! They also had a disc movie system which was the precursor to the DVD but they were the size of an LP album!

Looks fake to be honest. The questions and answers are too stupid to be true.

Actually .... this is all too true guys.

Since my phd was on evolution and psychology I come across a lot of these blind morons. When I was in the States I once gave a talk on evolution in Nebraska and one in Tennessee and almost got burned by an angry religious freak mob.

Also, here in Ghent we have a society Ichtus (dutch protestants) that do exactly the same. If you think this is wack - it isn't. Google 'Scopes trial' - people (not only in the States) are very busy lobbying to get evolution out of the Biology curriculum. Creationism (or scientific creationism - Moehahahahahahahahaha sorry - as they call it is going on in Holland, Belgium, USA and is gaining momentum in Muslim countries as well).

I tried doing pubic debates with creationists but to no avail. They just disregard facts and turn to 'faith'. Cognitive dissonance in its full glory!!

So yes. The end of knowlegde is near.

So, freakin' funny and scary all at the same time. Evolution is on the TN state curriculum mandates but they get around it by homeschooling. I have friends who are in every other way intelligent people but the refuse to believe in evolution or that "7 days" of creation is not seven 24 hour days. I have managed to bring one of them around to concede that evolution exists on the principles of survival of the fittest and reminding her that no where in the actual theory does it state man evolve from monkeys or apes! And that if God is a supreme being with no beginning and no end why would his day be 24 hours? Can you imagine marking time for eternity in 24 hour time periods?

@stingray. Where in TN?

I asked because I lived in Memphis, but Texas is better :) UT Austin is a good school. I was just telling RMPR about it. We are. Heading to SanAntonio and NewBraunsfels for a week this summer before we head back. To China. :)
