Stingray 9,441
You rarely come across such great pics, though. Most of the time, about 95% of all Tumblr blogs I visit, it's pics of some wannabes and hipster jerks.

BluesChick 1,260
Is this typical in America"?No, this is what I call our "Bible Thumpers", those whack jobs that really are kind of crazy. The either home school or send there kids to small private schools where there is little if any state or federal input on or monitoring of what they do. The US does not have national curriculum but we need it.Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

Since my phd was on evolution and psychology I come across a lot of these blind morons. When I was in the States I once gave a talk on evolution in Nebraska and one in Tennessee and almost got burned by an angry religious freak mob. Also, here in Ghent we have a society Ichtus (dutch protestants) that do exactly the same. If you think this is wack - it isn't. Google 'Scopes trial' - people (not only in the States) are very busy lobbying to get evolution out of the Biology curriculum. Creationism (or scientific creationism - Moehahahahahahahahaha sorry - as they call it is going on in Holland, Belgium, USA and is gaining momentum in Muslim countries as well). I tried doing pubic debates with creationists but to no avail. They just disregard facts and turn to 'faith'. Cognitive dissonance in its full glory!!So yes. The end of knowlegde is near. I have friends who are in every other way intelligent people but the refuse to believe in evolution or that "7 days" of creation is not seven 24 hour days. I have managed to bring one of them around to concede that evolution exists on the principles of survival of the fittest and reminding her that no where in the actual theory does it state man evolve from monkeys or apes! And that if God is a supreme being with no beginning and no end why would his day be 24 hours? Can you imagine marking time for eternity in 24 hour time periods? @stingray.
