But like I said, you don't need superior strength or you don't need to be a target man to play against Stoke. You also don't need to be amazing at heading the ball or cutting a cross to be a striker either.

Forget Neymar as an example. What about someone like Guisseppe Rossi who used to lead the line for Villarreal so well before he got injured? He's a great striker but isn't exactly known for his strength or heading ability is he? Tevez, Aguero, Messi etc. etc.

But I do not have a problem with Rossi, Tevez, Aguero or Messi. I have a problem with Neymar.

He would lose his upsides inside the penalty box. He would lose his flair and drible (since it is more crowded). He is not strong, I mean, Rossi is a monster close to him (Stoke was just an example of a strong team), a lot of his dives are just because he falls when he gets touched. They all have a decent header, Neymar has none, look at his miss vs China.

You gotta admit, as a striker, you must be able to stand and head the ball.

For me, Neymar loses 20-30% of what he can deliver as a striker. He just is not a target man!

I see where you are trying to get, I think I made my point as well. There is no wrong view here, people see football diferently, they can all work,

I agree. But nonetheless you will agree that Messi is not an outstanding aerial threat. You can attribute that to Barcelona's style of play or Messi's strengths etc but the fact is hes not a superb threat in the air and Barca don't seem to have many problems breaking teams down.

This isn't directed at you but I feel that the argument that says "So and so won't succeed in the Premier league because of his size" really has to stop now.

Mata, silva, oscar, cazorla etc they're all fine. I think Neymar would be too, and I for one would love to see him running at Stoke. The back four would have a nightmare...

Mate, they are not strikers. I said it in my first post, I have no problems with height or strengh in midfield.

The front man is in 4-2-3-1 to offer diferent qualities to the midfiled. Strength, aerial threat, ability to do pivot to upcoming players, etc. Neymar would be just an adition to what we have with Hazard, Mata and Oscar (an unbelivable adition, but would not open the attacking options).

That's my bad sorry I missed when you said that.

I guess it depends on how he would be deployed in the system. For me, I like the idea of it because of what I've seen at Barca. They often have a 4 of pedro, iniesta, sanchez and messi who are VERY fluid as a front 4. I like the idea of that being implemented here because I think with Neymar it would work very well. I take your point about Neymar losing his effectiveness in the box. That's true, he has to be able to run at people. But i do think that it could be done. Which is why he excites me a LOT

Neymar is no scrub, even as a striker he wil work things out. I just dont think we should invent stuff to fit everybody in. If we dont have space for him, then sorry, but he should not come. You do got a point, I just am not a fan of False 9, I enjoy strikers like Drogba, Falcao, Ronaldo (real), etc.

For a player we will either get him after 2014 WC (Santos is already looking to extend it until 2016) or pay about 60mi + 150-200k on wages, should not lose his effectiveness!

Does anybody else not drink beer? I can't stand it. I don't see how any one can like/enjoy that taste. It's vile.

Give me a pint of cider every day of the week.

I don't really. If beer's the only thing available I'll drink it but I'm more of a spirit guy tbh.
