Well in English White, Grey, Black, Green are typical last names. You get Rossi in Italian that means Red.

But Violet, Lilac, Rose, etc are first names I did know a family whose four boys were Garnet, Fox, Snow, and Blue! Blue was a friend of mine and I asked him once if he was picked on in school and he said no, because he was the youngest and his older brothers were all rather large boys!

her last name is Salgado (Salty) and her husband's Pinto (Dick, Cock, choose your fave) and both have other last names in addition to those.
