If i had a wish, i would wish i could swap our excellent Indian cricket team for a excellent Indian football team.

haha. a quality football team from India would've been cool.

india did qualify for the World Cup though. way back in 1950. just didn't have shoes to play in the world cup

that's the only thing to brag about really. our best player is Michael Chopra ffs

he's not our player. He's not a Indian citizen and he hasn't kicked a ball for India. We do have some youngsters coming up though. Brandon fernandes who i expect Will join a European club in one off the lesser leagues and uttam rai who is currently on trial at reading but i expect him to join somewhere else in Europe or America

Indian-descent should count. Chopra!

Indian authorities did offer him in 2006 but he refused. probably thinking he had a shot at the England team :D then recently he asked to play for India

otherwise it's just Baichung Bhutia who spent few months at Bury under Neil Warnock

C'mon man..FIFA didn't give us permission to play bcuz we played the qualifiers without studs. Its not like we cudnt afford shoes or anyting :cry::beer::mouthclosed::dunno:

Glad Chettri's back here playing. He was wasting his time at the reserve benches at Lisbon
