Software companies - Microsoft etc - use these riddles while interviewing candidates for job/internship although they are not nearly complicated as this. It's a real test of how fast you can rule out permutations.

10 mins is impressive but they don't look at whether you solve it though. The puzzle they give usually has many combinations where you get the desired result in say 10 steps but there will be only 1 or 2 combinations (out of several) where you will get result in 9 steps. They look for the guy who gets it in the 9 steps

Otherwise, with a pen, paper and above average thinking, all of us will be working in Microsoft

Also pretty sure that chart is wrong or the makers of it haven't done their survey properly! Average height 5'3? I am 6'1 and subsequently better loaded as well as per the chart. There is no way they have taken all the billions in account that we have in this country!!

Honestly the people working at those companies are a bit overrated. Obviously they have many people that are beyond brilliant, but not everyone who gets a job there is. There are two lecturers at my uni who used to work for Microsoft and IBM respectively and frankly, they're both idiots!

Seriously...The most important thing is that you are okay. I hope you got details of the car (make, colour, license plate, any identifying marks) just to be on the safe side.
