You're lucky. I've been robbed 3 or 4 times.

I only go to good places, that is why! ;)

Naaah, I am very paranoid with this stuff, I am aware 24/7.

Were any of them a serious gun robbery or they were just people with knife asking for your wallet/phone?

Me too. One of them I was robbed at 12:30! Lunch time... and I was in a "safe" zone of the city. This was the only time I saw a gun pointed to my face and he took my celphone. The others I lost like.. 10 reais or my watch and the most I saw was a knife.

Oddly enough, the places where all that happened were the ones you would least expect. Not Brasília, not São Paulo, not Recife, not Porto Alegre. Rio Branco and Palmas, lol. I've never been robbed in a big city.

But I guess I'm a bit more cautious in big cities as well.

If I was a woman, I'd find it insulting that such a thing as International Women's Day existed. Why do they need one day? Is every other day of the year 'International Men's Day', and if it isn't why isn't there one? Shouldn't everday be International Women's and Men's Day?

Hell yeah I did. It kind of blows my mind that I was there when this shit was going down. I'm usually so far removed from current events and the real world.

Only caught a glimpse of the bastard, but what I mainly saw was a group of armed men pointing their handguns into the Myer Centre.

Not good, it was all over the news here in Melbourne. Glad you're ok and there was no serious injuries (from what I know anyway). Were you working? Or just out shopping?

I was killing time between Uni lectures. I had a two hour break and Queen Street Mall is close to my Uni.
