skysports.com reports:

Meanwhile, Chelsea suffered a pre-season injury scare when goalkeeper Petr Cech was forced out of training on Tuesday with a slight calf problem. Cech underwent scans on the injury on Tuesday afternoon, and the club expect to have the results back on Wednesday.

according to Daily Mail he could be sidelined for three weeks, meaning he would miss Community Shield game and the league opener

Blimey the media have some excellent injury knowledge, they can tell how long a player will be out even before a scan and without knowing how the injury happened.

I don't think it's serious and it didn't look like Cech was too worried about, pre season the club is extra cautious with injuries.

BREAKING NEWS

Scans have shown Petr Cech has torn a calf muscle in his right leg and the goalkeeper is expected to be out for a month.

Cech, 28, suffered the injury yesterday in training and is now expected to miss the start of our competitive season, as well as the remainder of our pre-season friendlies, the next of which comes at Ajax on Friday. The Czech Republic's Player of the Year sat out for a month during February and March earlier this year with a similar injury sustained at Inter in the Champions League, before going on to play a major role in our Double success, making an incredible save from Frederic Piquionne in the FA Cup Final.
