last year i didn't believe in sturridge's ability but now i sure do if he keeps improving like that i would expect him to be one of our starting eleven by the end of the year . but still i don't think he will be at his best in the winger position he is better playing as a SS or a CF but as we all know we play with one striker and there is no way anyone can get a nod ahead of Drogba now .

anyway about today's game a lot of players were complete shit like kalou anelka mikel ferera even terry and at some parts lamps but man was ashley cole even there !!!! valencia was walking down our left flank as if we played without a left back at some parts i was really trying to figure out where the hell is ashley cole standing ...

but i am not worried and that is only because carlo has made it clear that the world cup players are not ready and that they won't be before about two weeks so about ashley , terry , lamps and Drogba i will give em till august 20th before i start getting on their backs but for mikel let's just hope ramires arrives ASAP.

about benayoun i wasn't dissapointed at all because that's the outcome that we all expected from him and he has been up to my expectations so far so don't blame him we all knew that's the display we are gonna get from benayoun .

the question that no one will be able to answer is what the hell is ferrera doing in our squad ?????? i thinkl we would have been much much better with ivanovic starting as a RB and carvahlo as a CB i hope that someone will just tell me that carvahlo was injured that is why we had to play him and that h is not part of carlo's plans this season.

I know people will desagree, but our squad needs new blood. Lampard is playing here for 7 years, you cant imagine out midifield without him because theres is no other player in his position. You can really imagine Manchester wihout Giggs or Scholes.

Terry is slow right now, last season made millions of mistake and I expect more mistakes this season. Last season we almost lose the EPL and werent good enough to reach the UCL semi-finals.

Can you imagine we beating Barcelona or Real Madrid with this team ? I dont think so.

You are right, we do need new blood. But can you seriously see the club dropping the established players and replacing them all with new, young signings? Youth has to be slowly integrated into the team, they have to learn how to play our system from the older players. We are going through a transition, with many older players set to leave over the next few seasons, and there will be players introduced over that time. It is a gradual process, don't think that the club hasn't planned for the future.

Sturridge was very impressive when he came on he should get some more game time this season. I was dissapointed when he didnt put Essiens wonder pass away but he made up for straight away so credit it to him.

Man Utd had 3 players in their 11 who had played at the world cup, we had 3 who had NOT played at the world cup. The extra pre season will have made a difference. I think we are looking in good shape, and with the addition of Ramires and 1 other (who i think will end up being Neymar) we will be looking even better....

We are clearly not fit and it annoys me that our WC players - whom didn't make it far at all got such a long rest and stuff.

I believe this pre-season has been bad because 1 the players aren't fit and 2 is that there's no new manager to impress.

I totally agree with you Esk, When Ramires does finally come Just imagn Essien and Ramires in the same midfield it spells out domination . O yes and you said you think neymar may join us I really want this to happen but is there any possibility?

We weren't horrible but we weren't good enough. The lack of creativity in the final third really pained me. Tempo was just too low. We so desperately need a attacking midfielder/playmaker, especially if you want to play possesion football. Passes like the one Ess gave, those defence splitting passes are what we need. We just don't have anyone who gives passes like that regularly or at least tries to give passes like that.

But for some reason, Ancelotti doesn't seem to be looking for that type of player. He did want Kaka and Pirlo at first. But Kaka isn't the same anymore and Pirlo is too old. So I was glad they didn't join us but I wish he'd look for another ''pass-master''.

Hope Danny's performance and performances in pre-season finally convinced Ancelotti. Anelka and Kalou (especially Kalou) always get chosen over Sturridge and Kakuta without putting in convincing performances. Very sad. Danny seems like the first youngster who's stepping up and really really wants to play and give everything he's got.

Hope Matic and Kakuta also get (a good amount of) chances and show us their potential. Nemanja's playmaking ability and Gaël's pacy dribbles are qualities we lack in the first XI.

And last but not least, I hope that was Bruma's last performance as a RB. It's just not his position. Mancienne is the one that should be played there, he has the experience of playing that role.

Studge was fantasic when he came on , but i still dont see him starting on sat , we all know Carlo likes his established first teamers , though im really hoping danny will get his chance this season.

One of the other issues is Kalou , just because he was there to tap the ball in he will be first choice over Sturridge.
