Ray. 217
You don't miss a game,do you?Ashley Cole and JT were watching the game and I think Sturridge was also there.JT went to congratulate the boys after the game.First Youth Game for me and will definitely look at going again next Season. Only missed a handful of away EPL and all but one of the CL away games.Good that that Ash and JT were there, hope that the result inspires them and rest of the first team to get the result on Sunday. DeadMilkman 0
Belletti and Carlo were there as well. What's McEachran like? I hear a lot of good things about him.
Clevemayer 764
he was tremendous, absolute genius, he looks like he was danceing with the ball, what a player, could be at the same level as messi, kaka if his development goes on like this... never seen such a nice control of the ball... best player at the evening alongside with, the whole defence (superb performance by deen conteh), kaby 2nd best player, lost the ball 2 times, but if you have seen how much he was running around, battling, tackling and doing the easy things, and plopping up in the box to have a go at the goal, you would give him 8 out of 10. Connor was great too, gökhan disapointed a bit, bu sala was as good as ever...
DavidEU 2,023
Brilliant effort from the boys. Saw both legs of the final, and to be honest, it should probably have been much more comfortable. However, that doesnt matter as we got the win in the end.Theres some real talent in that team, and Ben Andrews was saying on the commentary that this is the crop that the Academy staff have been excited about for many a year. The back four looks solid, especially Bruma, who if he doesnt make it at the highest level one day, i'll be shocked. Connor Clifford, Gokhan Tore, and of course Josh McEeachran look real players and fingers crossed we'll see these boys on the fringes of the first team at times next season. I remember Chelsea TV saying 2 years ago or so that Josh had already trained with the first team, at about 15. Looks a very talented player. Also, well done to EskWeston for keeping everyone up to track with the Cup run and the youth team in general. Much appreciated. Cameron 30
Gokhan Tore? Doubt it to be honest. The main two are definitely Bruma and McEachran... if Clifford can get his technical side to match his determination then possibly, other maybes I'd say are Walker and Sala. Clevemayer 764
@cameroni think your absolutly wrong at that point who should be mentioned without the slightest of a doubt are:BrumaEachranKabyCliffordSalaInceBilly cliffordin exactly this order like i wrote them down, kaby ahead of clifford cause i'm so impressed of his running, fighting, tackling and his technique and he has come forward this season leaps and bounds... Blueboy 14
If McEachran can manage to train his physique a bit more, we have a world-class player on our hands. Clifford is amazing, such determination and strenght. Together with Kaby he has that typical 'drive' from midfield that we often lack when Essien is not playing. Very very bright prospects if you ask me.I read different things about Tore this match, some say he played well, others were less convinced. But when he is on fire, you better hide. Really has amazing skill. Reminds me a bit of Ronaldo, very strong physique combined with excellent technique. At the start of this cup-run i doubted the qualities of Sala, but he proved me wrong in a certain way. He often seemed off the mark, and couldn't impress me tbh. However, something i learned from this i that you just can't judge a player on 1 game nor a run of games. They are young boys, wich still have to learn to be consistent in their play. But sometimes, yes, sometimes, like Sala did last night, they show you why they are in Chelsea F.c's football academy and i realise that many can become very good players for us . Players of that size have to be absolutely immense to make up for their physical side.Rohan Ince is still a raw talent, and although he stepped up well yesterday in the second half, generally his technical ability will let him down. Only the best make it at Chelsea, and unfortunately he isn't one of them - he probably wouldn't of started had Mills Pappoe been fit. Billy Clifford is a little too weak defensively IMO.Sam Walker has had a fantastic season, he's got a good a chance as anyone. EskWeston 696
Absolutely swamped at work at the moment. Just wanted to post to say it was an immense game last night! Very proud of the boys for their achievment and fully deserved also..I will be writing up a full match report as soon as i can and i am going to try my hardest to get the highlights up tonight!!Josh McEachran was f**king unreal last night, anyone watching that game having never previously seen him play would be scratching their heads as to why he isn't in our first team already, seriously sensational stuff from him last night. NattyBlue 44
I don't know how Josh keeps the ball the way he does, and on his physique, he's still waiting for you know...pubertySeems the only one in the youth squad, him and Kaby that haven't got on abit, all in due time.Funny though...I think just Pappoe Mills' voice has broke in the 1st team properly lol

DYC. 7,542
Really looks like we have a golden generation on our way.Josh McEachran is a football magician and i absolutely love that guy. His ball control and confidence with the ball is outstanding. No wonder Iniesta is his football idol, he really reminds me of him.We should get an experienced (age 26-28) playmaker instead of a young one so Josh can follow him up. He absolutely has to make in the Chelsea FC first team in a few years. The other players in this group also have great potential. Just imagine having a team in a few years with a great amount of youth players . It saves (alot of) money and gives the club such a great image . And most importantly, the fans of club will absolutely love it. Edited May 6, 2010 by Blue_Soldier
