Marvin123 534
i think we should give robbie a chance at least another season, let him bring in some talent, he aint too bad he got odemwingie for 1m, not a bad player at all for the baggies! (apart from the spat with hodg) but more importantly the players respect him and his decisions, tactically brilliantin more than one match this season, im VERY confident of winning the FA cup now against liverpool but if we clawed there under AVB id be very worried about losing to Liverpool AGAIN THIS SEASON,
CHOULO19 24,332
Wish Moyes would stop getting mentioned, if our next manager is going to be a midtable miracle man Alan Curbishley is just as qualified as Moyes so why isn't he getting the same mention? Alan Curbishley is a great manger. I think he will be better than Moyes or Bielsa.Happy?

I think the reason that all those names of managers of average teams are being thrown around is that we're running out of world class managers; we've already hired then fired almost every world class manager that would we could get our hands on! Changingman_2000 876
I'd love to see Moyes given his chance. But have nothing against given Robbie his go at it. He's galvanised the team since AVB got the spanish archer. Having said that, a few fans are top over the top about the recent run of form. We were very fortunate to beat Wigan and poor against Fulham. Benfica at home was frankly pathetic considering they were down to ten men. That said, a number of players must know they are getting their jotters in the summer so he has done well to motivate them.If all else fails.......................Avram Grant
ZanSnake 1,211
If he doesn't gt the seal of approval from Roman now, then i don't know what he would have to do!But, like Roberto said - we cannot venture onto something, we can't see straight at. Take it game by game, rotation is essential for Arsenal, with some players still being used to be a threat, as well as some being rested for the Nou Camp game. KonohasOrangeFlash 2,607
If there is no one better Available, (which there probably won't be) than Robbie should definitely get the job. He's been Fantastic
English Freak 456
Hope RDM gets the job on a permanent basis, he knows the players, he loves the club & I reckon we're better off with RDM then Laurent Blanc, Rafa Benitez or some other average manager. xPetrCechx 13,572
Roberto Di Matteo could be just two games away from landing the Chelsea manager's job on a full-time basis - but there is no way back for the club's "old guard."Interim boss Di Matteo is moving up the list of candidates, but whoever gets the job will be under orders to ship out the likes of Didier Drogba, Frank Lampard and Ashley Cole as part of a long-term rebuilding job.http://www.mirrorfoo...icle892787.html

The Old Guard will always have a place in the fans hearts, but it's time for them to go. Obviously you can't believe everything you read, but I hope this article has some truth behind it. Buying players and developing youth sounds great. Use the likes of Josh, Romeu, Lukaku (if not on loan), Bertrand. It also would mean using KDB alot. As long as we rebuild the team, by shipping out the Old Guard, using our young players and buying a couple world class players, we'll be in a very good position. It'll take time for us to develop, next season, a comfortable top 4 finish should be our priority. Also, one thing I don't quite believe is that if we got Guardiola we wouldn't spend. If we got him I think the cheque book will come out big time. Although Guardiola will be great in using our youth system and also won't hesitate replacing the old guard to rebuild. Plus the players will respect him for sure....But why would he leave Barca (such an Incredibly talented team) for us? Only reason I can think of is if he wants to take on a new challenge and prove his managerial skills by Managing an EPL team.

I see him going to Serie A or making a bold move to Mexico where he is wanted as a Director of Football by a few of the clubs.

LDN Blue 7,903
Di Matteo is a gamble, no doubt. But so was Guardiola when he became the new Barcelona coach. At least we wouldn't have to buy him out of a contract and such. I haven't seen Roberto in a situation where his tactical improvisation has changed a game, in fairness that situation is yet to present himself. What he's done so far is get the basics right, which is an underrated element it seems now. The tactics v. Barca were spot on, so got to give him credit for that. I do hope we get to see that tactical improvisation before the end of the season, because that's the true test of a manager, adversity. In the first half we were getting bombarded but Robbie straightened the team out, adjusted a few things and we looked much more solid in the 2nd half. Like a rightly timed substitution or something. He's certainly making his impact though, no doubt about it.
