Explain to me again why we need Luke Shaw when we have Bert & PvA again? I have always loved PvA's game & he has showed to me he can do the business.

Well a RB is currently keeping Ryan out of the team despite him being the one who put in the best two performance at LB we had this season. In fact, Jose is willing to play Azpi three times a week till he is clearly exhausted than play a LB who is has proved that he is always dependable. If I were Patrick, I'd be looking to make this loan permanent.

I still have no idea why he's out on loan. Something about this club just seems soulless at times. If he was 25 with a £20m pricetag on his head we'd probably be interested.

Some of the youngsters on our books are beyond overrated but players like Piazon, Courtois, Lukaku PVA and a handful of others should be getting gametime for us next season. Lukaku, Courtois, Piazon & PVA are all ready and offer something different to the players we have.

Glad to hear he has improved a lot then, after his spell at Leicester i was convinced he was done as far as Chelsea was concerned.

Holy shit, what a goal by PVA. By far the best left back at the club and he's on loan.

He reminds me so much of Alaba.

Offensively he is, yeah. He always has been.

But his problems is being suspect defensively, and I feel in the Eredivisie that aspect of his game isn't really being tested.

I would like to see him back at the club next season though. He looks a lot more confident in his play these days.

Alaba isn't the best defender either and neither are players like Baines, Marcelo etc

I agree with the premise of your post but we can never gauge his play until he gets a proper chance here.

With Cole set to leave and rumors about Bertrand leaving, What do you think about Shaw and PVA for the LB position ?

Give the homegrown talent a chance before splashing £20m on the next best thing yet again. Having someone as talented and energetic as PVA bombing down the left flank would also elevate Hazard's play and help relieve pressure off him.

I hope his superb play this season gets him into the Dutch first team because that's the only way he's going to catch anyone on the coaching staff's eye.
