Stats 7,142
EVEN COLE?Probably, Cole has lost his sense of brilliant attacking runs what he used to have over the years.
robdog 2,084
Was MOTM today, had an amazing game. Attacking wise he's so ahead of all our other LBs it's crazy. If you ask PvA, he will tell you that Ashley Cole provided him w/ some inspiration & wisdom. Seriously, we have two prospect like this because of Cole's Hard Work Ethic. We need to sign Cole up as a Coach.
Bir_CFC 3,455
EVEN COLE?Yeah, Ash can still make great runs but his movement is all that's helpful anymore, provides nothing really in the build-up. Especially now that you're forced to compare him to the other flank, Azpi who plays like a midfielder out there.

killer1257 3,282
Has he improved his defensive skills? We all know that he has incredible offensive skills, but he had a lot of problems in the defensive,so he should try to improve that first,if he wants to play for Chelsea. ja1 1,166
Chelsea defender Patrick van Aanholt is hoping that he can make his mark at Stamford Bridge after completing an impressive campaign on loan at Vitesse Arnhem, who finished fourth in the Dutch Eredivisie.Van Aanholt spoke to NuSport about his hopes for the future and his time at Vitesse:“I move on with a good feeling.“I have had a good season and just have to wait and see. A new coach, new chances.“I have to be there on July 1 and then we have to wait. It depends whether the new coach believes in my qualities.“If that doesn’t work out, I will go out on loan again.”Source: Sky SportsI do think we should give PVA another loan but only if he wants it too. ja1 1,166
I agree, I think another crack at the England in the PL after the fails of Wigan and Leicester. In the market for a long term LB as Cole's probably leaving summer '14, and after the season's PVA has had I think he should still be seen as an option. But then I wouldn't blame him if he wants to stay where he's clearly comfortable in his native country.
blu35_army 551
Swansea is good because they will play in EL,,or if watford promotion i'll choose him to play under Zola!! it seems watford is our Reserve team...

The Skipper 20,609
Well, it isn't that hard to be called up for the Dutch national team if you're a decent defender.Gefeliciteerd anyway.

CHOULO19 24,332
it's Netherlands U21's squad,,not for the senior team...Isn't he something like 22-23?
Igi26 346
Isn't he something like 22-23? Mata played U-21 Championship when he was 23. PVA was 21 when qualifiers started so he is eligible.
CHOULO19 24,332
Mata played U-21 Championship when he was 23. When was that?
Stats 7,142
Isn't he something like 22-23? Yeah, you can have a minimum of 3 players over the average age I think. Also regarding your question about Mata, he represented Spain U21 in 2011 in Denmark.
