I'm desperate, desperate for a creative player to come along but even I have to admit 44M pounds (not euros!) for Pastore is really a huge gamble. Is he better than Aguero or Fabergas? I don't think so. And those two are only 2 years older.

I know it's rich coming from a Torres fan, but even if he's struggled, Chelsea paid that amount partially because of his brand and his past achievements. I know it's hard to believe but...not too long ago, some thought him the BEST striker in the world (I said some...). Has anyone called Pastore the BEST creative midfielder in the world? And Pastore isn't anywhere near Torres' global branding.

The biggest downside to missing out on Pastore is that it puts huge pressure on Chelsea to look for another creative target. Thus allowing the clubs to jack up the prices.

Pastore can't be compared to aguero or fabregas because they're not playing the same position.

If you want a creative player Pastore is the guy.

He's an artist and remind me of a certain Sir Zinedine Zidane and he's described by many like the next Argentinian Zizou.

Aguero is a poor man Messi really I watched him during copa america he isn't that impressive.

Fab is an intelligent player with great passing and vision but that's all, he'll never be near Zidane, even Lampard at his best is far better than Fabregas.

But we'll never know if pastore will turn into that kind of player... and if he would be a nice fitting in premier league.

Yesterday, at the RMC radio show(french football talk show), Omar da Fonseca, ancient argentinian footballer and Saint-etienne scout told pastore was scouted in 2006-2007 by Saint-Etienne so he lived during 3 months at his home, they gave him 350 € contact + food and bed  and finally they kicked him off because he was bad physically at his age(+8 seconds for 60 meter !!!)...but he said he was so unique and very easy technique...that's pretty funny...

But in argentina many people wants him to be their number 10 ala Zidane and during the world cup they wanted him to start !!!

I have a feeling that in a few years time Pastore will be one of the best players in football, or one of the best attacking midfielders. Honestly if we don't sign him now and he goes to psg and does well you know real and barca will be after him and will would have no chance of getting him.

let us have pastore and take modric!!!:D

he may not be the best 10 in few years but he's the player suited for chelsea and for premier league!!

Just a question : what is chelsea's budjet this season ?

is it true they offered 80M € for Hulk?

No that was apparently Anzhi Makhachkala of Russia. Sky Italia saying this PSG deal is done lads, announced tomorrow. 30m euros plus 15 add ons. 4.5m euros a season
