Okay, come on and forget it. Look at our next fixtures, not the worst one. We are capable of a great winning streak right now. Make sure Chelsea are still the best in the country.

And we're not up north!! Two losses up there in the space of a week

And the 'Man City on a run of draws' you just got the feeling they were gana turn it around and was gana be against bloody us!

But yeh defo capeable of a winning streak, just Barclays dont be nice and give Carlo the Manager of the month award it a bloodu curse that one at times

Yeah, and we should never wear the away kit again this season while we're at it.

This'll probably be the most unpopular post on here, but seriously, will you lot take the blue specs off for a minute and have a look at the 'performance' we put in? We were so fucking off our game today we made the draw specialists look good.

Instead of the 'wounded animal' you'd have expected to come out fighting after we at least battled our arses off mid-week, we turned up whingeing and whining like little bitches. Ok, so Webb's a dickhead of the highest order but bad decisions happen week-in-week out in the Premier League and a side is either big enough to take it on the chin and get their heads together, or they'll act like petulant, arrogant fuckers, and lose in the manner we did today.

Both Ashley Cole and particularly Didier Drogba showed shades of their former selves most of us would rather not be reminded of - mouthing and bitching at every opportunity, Cole's back turned to the ref, Drogba standing over an injured Bridge moaning about a nothing brush of the shoulder he'd somehow been 'injured' by earlier. Shameful.

Fair enough, Citeh got away with fouls time and again whilst we were getting booked for some nothing challenges (oh and Carvalho's a total cock for the needless kick on the Argie midget) but if we're going to challenge for the title rather than fall apart like we did at exactly the same stage as last season, then our players need to drop the 'victim' attitude and fucking earn it.

I agree with you. A lot of people on here are extremely quick to blame the other team.

One of the most frustrating games for a very long while.

Firstly we were not good enough, all across the park the team was found to be way below par.

Secondly nothing came off for us, a lot of that is down to the first point.

Lastly the ref was very poor indeed. Gave them licence to go into us heaver, 2 footed a lot of the time and get away with it. Whilst we were pulled up for everything, missing the handball was shocking, giving the free kick for their second was almost as bad...

But for me point 1 is the one that concerns me most. Deco should have been one of the first off the pitch and Belletti should NOT have been one of the players comming on, Malouda should have been on and so should have Joe Cole to try and take charge of the midfield again..

Manchester City 0-17 Chelsea

That's how much I beat City by on PES 2008 to take out the frustration emo5.gif

Beating Man City on the Xbox isnt enough for me , I wont be content until Tuesday night when we destroy Apoel , that might make me a little bit more cheerful again , then beat Everton at home and I will have my happy face on again.

true.

and then at the end of the season when we have won nothing they say "oh well lets try again next year"

... in 50 years time those same fans will be saying "that was unlucky.. oh well always next year"

Simple fact was they wanted it more than us...

Right across the park we werent good enough...

Cech looked dodgy coming for crosses/high balls into the box, my heart skipped a beat each time he ventured out

The defence wasnt good enough, Ash got owned by SWP (who was MOTM IMO) Ivanovic & Belletti were awful, as was Carvalho, what a stupid thing to do by kicking out at Tevez.

Midfield, well I forgot Essien and Lampard were on the pitch at times, Deco didnt want to get hurt so was pulling out of tackles, not good enough, and Ballack looked as if Wednesdays game had taken its toll.

Anelka had a quiet game as he had no service, but put in a good shift IMO, but Drogba.. hmmm, considering he is going through a purple patch right now, had a bad game, his hold up play was good, but he never really troubled Toure & Lescott, he did well to win the penalty and possible could have scored if he wasnt brung down, but the chance he put wide, along with the penalty miss from Lampard really summed up our day.

Ok, so the ref was very card happy and was frustrating our players with his decisions, but as said in the commentry by Man City loving Joe Royale, we shouldnt be reacting by mouthing off at the ref, lunging into tackles (Belletti & Terry) Belletti's on Bridge and Terry's just after the penalty miss on Adebayor (it was a great tackle, but its what injured him) we should get the ball down on the ground and play as we know we can, these are international footballers, and they have lost their heads against a team brave enough to have a go and get in our faces, I think all the talk of us being unbeatable in the papers this week maybe got into the players heads, and obviously was the motivation Man City needed to show they are a team to be reckoned with.

Well done to Man City I say, as I said, they wanted it more than we did and deserved the 3 points. I agree with what is being said, I feel sorry for Apoel and Everton, they will get the backlash, our players will be hurt, in the next few games they WILL bust a gut and bang the goals in, it just didnt happen today, we could say its an off day/bad day at the office, but thats 3 away games now where we have given up :(

Insulting defeat. It is very upset.

Refereeing not the unequivocal. But it is not necessary to be afflicted, we leaders, and the subsequent should not cause matches in a command of difficulties.

I consider that such problems have arisen, that fast counterattacks through flanks could not organise.

In the second time taking game under the control, to us simply has not lucky.

Well done to Man City I say

^ this is the talk of a mid-table club fan

if you don't like Chelsea being a Big football club go support a mid-table team, the aim is to win the league, not to give man-city fans back rubs.

Dead on misschief. We looked terrible today and deserved nothing better than a draw, if that. I felt like that CC loss might be a bad sign, but hoped to chalk it up to use of the "B" squad, and that we'd get back on track today. Looks like it was a bad sign afterall, and I feel like its time for the "Christmas Crisis" to strike again. We've lost our cushion at the top. The next mistake will probably take us out of the lead, and I'm afraid once we're out of it, we're out of it for good. A shame the team hasn't been able to keep up their form.

You know, everyone shrugs off the Carling Cup, and yeah, if we're going to lose in any one competition in a season better it be that, but losing that game to Blackburn allows the seeds of doubt in, whether we're playing our "A" squad or not. You lose a little of your edge almost anytime you lose - no matter the circumstances or the competition. You start second guessing. As soon as that CC game ended, you could almost hear the air start to come out of the Blue baloon. Let's hope a win (a convincing win, although we'll probably see the "B" team again) against APOEL and our fairly easy upcoming schedule allows us to patch that hole. I don't want Ancellotti to become another Scolari, another coaching casualty to lend yet more instability to this squad.

My final statement will probably piss some people off, but it is my opinion so here goes: Lampard needs to sit 1 or 2 games. Not CC games and APOEL. He needs time to address whatever his problem is of late. He's a shell of himself of late, and he needs time off. Perhaps he's still injured, I don't know. But he's timid, he's got no ofense in him whatsoever, and that penalty today was mediocre at best. Before he shot I told my son, "He's going to miss. He's been off his game and he's going to miss." Needless to say, I hated being right.

Get your act together boys, and win this league! It's been too long! Win the CL!

I love CFC being a big football club, I've supported CFC since we were a mid-table team buddy, I'm just saying that on this occassion they were better than us, we lost our heads and didnt deserve to win its as simple as that.

Im sure normal service will be resumed in our next game, Im just obviously disapointed with our performance today as I know we can play alot better.
