Popular Post! BlueLyon 9,359 Posted September 1, 2015 Popular Post! Share Posted September 1, 2015 such a pity ,, three we thought were our future ,,, Gael , Josh ,, Nat ,, heart breaking remembering Esk Weston and how optimistic he was . For recent membersEsk was an expert on our Academy sadly he has posted on here for two years . I think you can find his vids in the archives or on you tubeWe work with them as they were machines, not our youth for future. Pure bussiness. That is the sad part of chelsea. No surprise not even one made it here. The youth project here is all fake, forced. Trying to look cool, bring 100 players in and they get 5minutes to show, then they are loaned out and again and again. Matic is clear example. Would never made it here if he wasnt sold. He had great potential, but no one at chelsea had a single clue. They loaned him out. Then he is sold and within 2 years in solid environment around people who actualy give shit, he becomes one of best DMs. I remember how clumsy he was in begining. There was europa league game, he came as sub and realy was like a piece of wood out there (being harsh). But he shown some promise. And he got another chance and another chance. Year later he was brilliant. Try get such chance, people or project here. Its all about money. About club. Sadly. Then there is Bertrand. Another mistake from the board to sell him. Sure he cant be blamed if he wanted to leave. All he got was words that he will play, but no one rated him. Thing is, there are better players out there. Its easier to throw few millions and bam, you get top player. But try get the same loyalty from such player. A youth player will fight for the club. He will stay loyal and wont flee, hide or not give fuck when something is wrong. He will lead the team. Take a look at Terry. No money can buy you that. If I had two chances; current Messi or 20 year old Terry. I would pick Terry every single time. You can buy players. What you cant buy is youth player coming through ranks and become the face of the team. For decade. They are inspiration. No money can give you that.Sadly the board knows two shits about how to develop youth. lucio, 11Drogba, zolayes and 4 others

BlueLyon 9,359
Board or manager or both ???Both.I would guess our board has very little clue about youth since the last one coming through was Terry and that was 17years ago. Seventeen years. As for Mourinho. People say he can do it but I doubt. Yeah he did it with Varane or Zouma (that said Zouma is not yet our definite starter). But that said, neither was yout product of their club. Both were bought, after showing promise in france. Can he do it with a player coming straight from our youth academy, who has absolutely nothing to show but his talent? Someone who will need to be given 10 games where he will fail, but then another one where his career will break and he will perform better and better. Can we expect that trust and belief from Mou? I dont think so.Maybe RLC will make it, would be realy nice. blueblood22
marketing media pet 27
he'll be back by january, napoli manager doesn't even know who he is so this is probably their board version of panic signing

The Skipper 20,609
Still don't understand why he's just not been given a fair chance here. He's a talent. IMO he can at least be a valuable squad player here if he develops well enough. Going back a bit but Jack Cork for example, who Chalobah has a higher ceiling than IMO, would make a great squad player here. He's developed quite well as a player and that's allowed him to get to that level. Chalobah could do the same, he's just not being provided with an opportunity here. Here's hoping he does well at Napoli because if he does, the club surely have to give him a role in the squad. He's HG. He's club trained as well (for CL). Duppy Conqueror 1,537
if a kid is sent out to new foster parents once or twice a year for 3-6 years his/her chances of developing into a well rounded adult are not as high as if someone adopted them, gave them consistent guidance and the chance of a home for the next 10 years.we have been too quick to do the former, but so reluctant to do the latter. even as fans I see folks will say they are not completely convinced in our young players which is fair enough but we don`t have to be completely convinced..just give them a chance,gradually..like we should with all new players to the squad regardless of if they are youth or new signings. will atleast be able to judge if they actually need a loan or to stay in our squad. robdog
Spike 12,049
He should have been given a rotational role after his Watford loan. Dropped the ball here.

mccg 1,528
5mins of experience aint good but at least Chalobah is enjoying the sights of Naples, mmm his career seems to be going in the direction of Josh Mceachrans, Looked a real prospect but hasnt kicked on,21 this year and seems to behind Ruben etc , Think his time at Cfc will come to an end sadly. ja1 1,166
Good goal as well. He's still only 20.. when confident/motivated has quality. Got an assist for their 5th goal as well. Wonder if he'll be rewarded with more chances
