Can somebody explain me in clear words what the difference between Lamps game is between this year´s season and last years is ?

What has changed that he doesn´t score so much anymore ?

I really don´t understand it... it has to be something with the position he is playing in, but i cannot see the difference yet.

Maybe someone of you can explain that for me

All the chance that would fall to lampard in years gone by are falling to anelka now. We now play with 2 strikers upfront and no wingers. This means we have to play the ball direct through to our strikers which means their are no cut backs for lamps.

Frank Lampard has never been the quickest starter to a season. The problem is partly positionally, playing at the tip of a diamond means less deep runs, and also means he's much easier to mark and reduce his influence on the game. Partly why Lampard is playing deeper in recent matches, with Malouda often playing at the tip. I have no doubts though he'll score 15+ this season.

Yea...Whatever .......he scored 21 in 2006-2007 when we played diamond with sheva and drogba upfront and balllack essien lamps maka in the middle.

I think you will find we played the 4-3-3 formation that season more than the diamond formation. Robben and kalou both played next to drogba because sheva was wank from january onwards.

He's never been the fastest starter to the season, anyway, in my opinion at least. Always takes a while to find his goalscoring form.

And he's got Jimmy milestone to overtaken that always seems to screw us up..a record to overtake and they take forever

I think you should go back and watch some dvds from 06-07. We played the narrow 4-4-2 diamond. To accomodate the two star signings of the seasons Ballak n Sheva. And Sheva played almost the entire season then. Remember he scored goal against Villa in March, he started that game too.

Robben was back then used more of an impact player and was injured for half the season.

Give him time. Once he gets the first one they'll start flying in.

Obviously the new role he's playing in the team is slightly different to what we're used to seeing. He's still getting into forward positions, just not the right ones atm. I've a feeling that once Joe Cole and Zhirkov get into the team it'll open up the game more and stretch the opposition. We're very narrow atm with little width.

Yes actually you are right i remember now, this was the season didier scored 33 goals and ballack played behind the strikers. Their are not many chances we are creating and the ones we muster up are being took by anelka and drogba.
