He didn't feature against Derby either. Maybe he's injured, really hope not. Will have a look shortly.

He hasn't played for a few games now, he went off injured the other week.

Hate to say it but I don't think Hutchinson will ever be a starting XI player for Chelsea.

He had that opportunity to make the breakthrough as a young, talented RB but since the severe injury, he just doesn't look first team quality.

Neither problem is directly related to the knee problems that forced him to retire from the game briefly.

Reds boss Sean O'Driscoll said: "He has a patellar tendon problem in his left knee, which is probably as a result of the previous problems he has had in his right knee.

"Patellar tendon problems can be awkward injuries. Owen Hargreaves is probably the most well-known case of it.

"You can give people injections to get through, but if it becomes a chronic issue, it can be career threatening.

"We are making sure we do not risk that, because he is not our player. He has been down with Chelsea for a few days since the Palace game.

"On top of that, he did get a couple of knocks on his right knee on Tuesday, which is going to get scanned just to check.

"He is a valuable player to Chelsea. But we will see how he is today (in training)."

Is fifa replicating injury phrone players onto the game? he picked up a 4 month injury, got him back for one game and he did it again.

My mate signed Robben for Arsenal and he's hardly ever fit either.

Yeah there's an injury prone trait. What a pain in the arse.

Ayala suffered a hamstring injury in Tuesday’s draw at Blackpool and is likely to be out for a couple of weeks, while Hutchinson has an on-going knee problem which is being assessed by his parent club Chelsea.

O’Driscoll said: “We’re in contact with a club at the moment and the player concerned has agreed in principle.

“These things take time but touch wood we should have someone in before Saturday.”

Does anybody have other news?
