Fabio Coentrao joins Real Madrid

Hi, im a benfica fan and i think coentrao is already in Real Madrid they are just waiting for the 1st july to make the transfer official. But i can tell you that if he goes to chelsea he is a great signing. Better than the ramires and david luiz ones. Ashley Cole is not what he used to be and i assure that Coentrao right now is 10x better than him and if ihe isnt right now the best left defender in the world he will be in 1 or 2 seasons just needs to go out of portugal so the world recognizes him.

You dont seriously believe that Fabio Coentrao is better than Ashley Cole? Surely? My gosh some fans do hype their own players up too much.

If A.Cole were to leave then i'd like us to look into it... but if not no. Bertrand and V.Aanholt (even Zhirkov) are great cover for him if he was injured/rotation.... hell, i'm sure even Luiz could play there!

But even if A.Cole were going I'd prefer us to go for Baines.

i was taking what you said seriously until you stated Coentrao is 10x`s better than the best LB in the world.

the bridge in class is closing on Ashley. he`s not as far ahead of the competition than he used to be..but the North Pole is melting quicker than the competition is catching him.

It^'s OK. We didn^'t need him anyway. It was obvious he^' s going to Real. We have Ashley for couple more years and afterwards Bertrand or PVA will take his place. I hope they will start getting chances very soon.

I'm not convinced we've still got Cole who's been labeled the best LB in the world in successive seasons, along with the fact we've got Bertrand and PVH both of which are academy graduates so I'm pretty certain they'd be first In contention for the LB spot since Red Roman had invested alot of money into the academy only to see none of the players solidify a first team place. Oh and Yuri can play at LB aswell so we wouldn't even be buying him as a backup.
