Great news, hopefully we can get who we want up front with Drogs figured out quickly. Just cause we got Sheva back(not a great move IMO) doesn't mean we can just forget about Anelka, he did get the golden boot after all...

Didier Drogba has penned his new three-year contract at Chelsea.

Drogba told skysports.com that he was set to sign his new deal, and now he has inked his contract.

The Ivorian star has agreed a two-year extension to his deal, which sees him committed to Stamford Bridge until 2012.

The 31-year-old striker has constantly been linked with a a move to Inter Milan where former Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho is in charge.

But Drogba - who joined The Blues in 2004 from Marseille - is delighted to commit his future to the club.

"I have decided to extend my contract with Chelsea for two extra years and I am very happy and proud to continue to wear the blue of Chelsea until then,' Drogba told the club's official website.

"I love the club, I feel good here and I want to continue to win titles with them.

"I stay because I am ambitious to pick up lots more trophies, regain the Premier League title, win cups, it's for this that I have extended my time at Chelsea.

"But my number one objective is to win the Champions League. I am convinced that this year we can go to the end and finally lift this trophy.

"I'd like to take advantage of this message to thank the Chelsea supporters who have always encouraged me with fervour as well as all my fans."

From Sky.
