Well apparently Brazil are miles ahead of Europe in terms of the medical side of football. Scolari's WC winning team in 2002, before it started Ronaldo and Rivaldo were injured and didn't look like they'd make the opening games but their medical team got them fit in time for it. Maybe if the Corinithans medical staff get Pato back to being Pato he'll come back to Europe in a year or two.

I don't know. We've had magic water for ages. One second, you're rolling around in unimaginable agony and with one spray, you're up and running like brand new.

It's now official! He has gone to Corinthians.

Alexandre Pato has officially completed his transfer from Milan to Corinthians for €15m, pending a medical.

The striker had made it clear he wanted a return to Brazil this month and negotiations were finalised with Vice-President Adriano Galliani this evening.

At 21.00 GMT Corinthians announced the deal was complete and released a picture of Pato wearing their team jersey.

“Over the next few days Pato will undergo medical tests and sign the four-year contract. Corinthians have bought 100 per cent of the economic rights of Pato for €15m.”

The statement also confirmed in future sales, Corinthians are to gain 60 per cent of the rights and Pato would get 40 per cent.

Eternal talent, but never really became the player he could've become with that potential.

Can't believe no european club is willing to take a gamble at that price. Completely class on his day.

He wanted to return to Brazil, because he felt uncomfortable and was unhappy in Milan.

Too bad each of those days were 6 months apart, every other day in between he was injured. His goals per game ratio had been falling back a bit the last few years as well. Had so much potential, but he just didn't have the physical requirement to use it. Also the fact he couldn't hack it in Italy, where the pace of the game has fell dramatically over the last few years means he almost certainly wouldn't hack it in the more competitive Euro leagues. He'll get his chance to build himself backup in Brazil, but I fear this is the last we hear of him, certainly on a European stage anyways.

He has had 16 injuries in the past 2 1/2 years. No surprises that none of the European clubs want to take a risk with him especially with other talented strikers out there.

Anyway, thread locked!
