🔴Simon Phillips has also repeatedly emphasized that, according to the best sources, R. James Enzo and Palmer are not fans of Maresca at all and are not happy with where they are being deployed.

In all fairness Enzo Fernandez can follow him out the door as well if the price is right, he has no right to not be happy at all. Cannot afford passengers in football. He is arguably one of the biggest we have had in years. So slow without the ball.

But yes Maresca has to go. As do the sporting directors.

I just can’t get past the fact that when I look at the 11 players out on the pitch and that can be any 11 of the full squad we have… i just see average all over the field. After spending what we have spent… it’s fucking insane. 

And to top it off, we have a gaffer who acts like a crackhead most weeks.
 

I’m not even angry anymore… just sad.

Cardiff City is now in League One

if we lose to Everton AND them

Maresca HAS to be sacked the next day

IF we do lose both of those games we could easily lose the other 3

I saw someone claim the EPL is full of mediocre teams this season

NO

not at all

it just has so many quality teams, so many great players and managers

it is a BRUTAL league

put a lot of the EPL (say the top 12 to 14 or so teams)

in most other leagues 

and they all (or most) have real shots at qualifying for the CL or at least the Europa League

Maybe not getting to the next stage of the CLs is the wake up call BlueCo need.

They said they thought they’d assembled a top CL quality squad when they got rid of Poch & it’s clear they thought the Europa Conference League & Club World Cup was some sort of vindication & proof that what they were doing was working as well as with Maresca’s tenure. How wrong. 

Still think that to spend £2bn & other than a handful of signings (Caicedo, Palmer, Estevao as well as Neto, Cucurella & Fernandez - when he can actually be arsed to run back - to a much lesser extent), it should be studied at Harvard as how not to do a squad build.

I think the board will actually congratulate him for giving minutes to their players, raising their value. Although Tosin's value is probably going down with each showing

I don't care whether Reece is in the so called form of his life I would have liked to have seen Santos sat there last night considering he is needed to fill the void of Caicedo for the next two PL games. Reece should have been RB last night but what do I know

The one who should be covering for Caicedo can't even stay fit for 5 games (Lavia). 

Santos isn't a DM or a 10, he's a floater just like Enzo.
