Blue Armour 4,566
Not convinced with the James in midfield argument. He was great against Arsenal, but today he was all over the place in terms of positioning off the ball. Bournemouth was missing midfielders, and we failed to take any advantage. Then we play Leeds and Bournemouth who have a fraction of our quality and look embarrassing and shockingly poor. I give up. We were miles ahead of Villa at one point and they’ve now shot past us and left us in the dust. Unforgivable collapse once again under this manager. Manager and players are a complete shit show Johnnyeye

The Rising Sun 723
Maresca ball has a low ceiling.... Would've been lauded at Spurs but can't do for us what a conte would have with conte ball, i.e. winning the league. I just want a coach who demands higher standards from himself and his players. mkh and Johnnyeye

Pizy 19,021
So many players who looked super promising very early on or in the summer now look miles off Chelsea quality. Just like last December when Jackson and Palmer’s form fell off a cliff. We were in position to genuinely push on and put pressure on Arse. With our last 2 fixtures we should be doing exactly what City are doing and look where they are now after an Arse slip up. Instead, we have been left in the dust and will get nowhere near them. Our absolute ceiling is 4th with Maresca and these players. And that’s if everyone else around us slips up nonstop like we do. Johnnyeye 7,546
not surprised at all, completely expected at this point, that’s how shit we are. I was never fooled by results against Barca and Arse.

People hyping up drawing at home vs arsenal who aren't that good , and beating barca in the group stage not the knockout (which we'd never do) Johnnyeye

Pizy 19,021
There is just WAY too much variance in levels with our players. Some days some of them can look awesome and others they can look like they’ve never seen the pitch together before. What’s most depressing is that not a SINGLE ONE of our summer buys is looking genuinely good this season. Delap and Pedro who were relatively “cheap” by today’s standards and were looking like super smart buys during the CWC now look like the midtable strikers they always had been. Short of Palmer suddenly clicking back into his top form I don’t see what we do to help ourselves. And he looked super rusty in these two appearances so far which is understandable. Special Juan 28,334
Forget Delap, he's fucking shite, hopefully he's on the sidelines for a few months now and this is where he should be Pedro is grabage as well, even Garnacho had a go at him today because he's a ball greedy little cunt Johnnyeye
mkh 648
🔴Liam Delap update from Maresca: "He has to be out again. We don't know how long, but it looks quite bad. He has been unlucky." Vesper
mkh 648
Enzo Maresca: "When you are not able to win, it is important we don't lose. I think it's something that can happen, the last pass in the last third. Cole was quite good with that, he played half hour the other day and one hour the other day." Enzo Maresca: "I think a lack of quality in the last third [meant #Chelsea didn't score]. Some moments, we know we are not going to score every game, now we are going to try and score on Tuesday. It was important to keep the clean sheet." Edited 37 minutes ago by mkh Johnnyeye
mkh 648
Leeds and Bournemouth had zero wins in their last five games before facing Chelsea, yet we managed just one point from both teams combined. That’s beyond poor!!!! Johnnyeye and Vesper 1
