I think they’ve just goes to prove though that we were pretty bad against their Ajax as a few pundits said Let’s be honest without the red card we would’ve struggled, and bare in mind we had two penalties and two massive deflected goals, we created very little really! 5-1 massively flattered us!even the games we have won this season we have been poor 

 

I stand by that this is probably the worst Chelsea team for a decade at least, Billions spent, and a Championship quality manager, 

 

We won the Micky Mouse cup and everyone thought we were world beaters!!

We're not world beaters but there are plenty of worse teams in the last decade. 2015-16 under Jose. 2022-23 when we finished 12th were far worse.

Dont get the complaint against the manager at all. His only loss in the last 7 months which did not involve a red card was vs Bayern Munich. Maresca's record is actually pretty decent. It is not like he is consistently getting out-thought or his set up has been bad. There's a large sample of games to assess this.

His decision making is deplorable though, look at the Man United game for example

I think tbh it’s more the football that is making me sad, look at the talent he has and he plays more boring football than I’ve ever seen! Imagine Flick or Pep with this squad

How I wish we had a better CB than Chalobah in passing through the lines. He's a handy defender but definitely need to work out a way to get a better passer playing there

The constant red cards is a huge issue though, be it players discipline or a necessity to foul as often due to being exposed with this tactical set up. Can’t not say the managers completely free of blame. He should be enforcing some sort of discipline. Not to mention, again, the style of football is very bland.

Garnacho may have scored today but side netting twice, needs to hit the target…
