Pretty happy overall, for most of the game made them look like a pub team, admittedly a lot of the blame for that is probably more on them than anything...

Still worried that we are not super cut throat (Noni world class clearance from Cole Palmer's shot due to him being situationally clueless and brain dead, never seen anything like that tbh) and a total liability in our own box (feel like every game we are liable to give pens+reds). But overall big progress from last years (where we did not even resemble a Chelsea side).

It's frustrating we did not score three or more against this Leicester side, especially when we did get the early goal.
The match was made difficult, not a thriller but difficult.

I mean Enzo is not in starting 11 this is his chance in absence of Lavia. He should come and say forget jet leg I'm ready to go.

Exactly what he did. 1g 5a last 3 games for Chelsea.

From sublime play to sometimes walking the ball for long periods....

Didn't love the lack of urgency at times and walking pace play but otherwise it's 3 points and a few disgruntled players got a game which always helps.

We need to have a greater killer instinct.

Happy where we are though and I'll take the progression.

I'm glad, because before his injury he was really good. But after he came back he has been woeful.

Still a lot to desire but improvement is good because it raises his value.

Félix won most duels (9) and completed most dribbles (4) in the game yesterday, which is actually amazing. To win 9 duels as an attacking midfielder really is quite something. But also having the most amount of dribbles shows that he was doing his attacking role well as well as the defensive side of the game.

Why are pool so much better than we are ?
Early on, in August, I believed in Arsenal but they are floundering. At the same points as we are but I expected much-much better.
City also as cofavourite. In my opinion they have problems with some aged-burned out players.
But pool I did not fancy. To qualify for next year's champions league yes, but not for runaway champions.
What makes them perform so much better ?

Worldclass veteran players.

VVD

Salah

Alisson

Robertson

TAA

Díaz

Mac Allister

Also, Slot appears to be the real deal, at least atm.

Sorted out their defensive problems. They've never had scoring issues so tightening things up at the back has worked wonders. They've had 6 goals against and we've had 14 and points dropped as a result and all

All Slot has done is carry on their previous form nothing changed with that. They have a strong side really.

Very good performances overall. Badi and Felix did great considering that these were first prem starts. Sanchez didn't have a save to make until the penalty, which to be fair he almost got to. All the nervy moments came from fast breaks as Caicedo was left to cover half of the pitch and the man himself in goal. He really cant have a quiet game. 2-3 blunders every single fixture. Made some excellent saves, but erratic way too often. Hope Penders turns out to be brilliant. Don't believe in anyone else of the keepers currently contracted to us and we cant keep buying a GK every window, can we?
