I'm sure this has been realized but I thought I'd vocalize it. Michael Essien completely marked Steven Gerrard out of the game, in every way. With Liverpool missing Mascherano they had nothing, which is of course about how much Lucas can do at any point of the game.

Great game Chelsea, and once Torres fell off (since the ball was in the middle or on the other end most of the time), the game was ours to take.

It's like a bloody holiday right now.
