and that is with no European footie

he likely would have been over 30 goals and closing in on 20 assists

Hopefully next year he can learn to trust his teammates more as well there were times he def overplayed but he’s young and I’m really happy he’s our player.

This game penned out exactly as expected barring Caicedo’s GOLAZO. Both teams lacked the final pass, but were organising their attacks well. We managed to more or less save the season and all of us will be excited for the next one. We absolutely must be better.

In my opinion Ugo was superb today. I was already counting him out of next season first team. We know he is quite big, but he was smart and skilful with his passing.

Thank you Thiago! You were class! Hope to one day see you at the Bridge again! COYB!

77 goals. More than 2 per game.

yes we topped spuds GD in the end

thsoe 2 draws v Sheff U and Burnely took away 5th place from us (and may end up costing us Europa League)

and tbf

the draws v Brentford, Arse (2 goal blown lead), and Wolves doing the DOUBLE on us cost us CL

Small margins make such a difference in football... 6 months ago, Solanke would have scored and taken it to 2-2, and then maybe we even lose later while chasing the game. So many of our games recently have been like this, we ended up getting the results but we conceded HUGE chances that got wasted.

Need to tighten up and control games properly if we want to have a less stressful season next year.

If just recently we didn't concede late goal in Sheffield and not had disallowed goal at Villa Park we would be over Villa on goal difference.

First part of the season 6 pointer from this position now against them. We were better all game I think Sterling didn't pass on 2 vs GK and they scored from counter. Enzo missed penalty vs WH....

Too late now let's enjoy Europa League.

have we ever had a player (Palmer has now dones so),

other than Lampard in 2009/10 (and he played 800 more minutes than Palmer) and Drogba the same year (and his was more impressive as he played the same number of minutes as Palmer and blew him away in goals)

who, all comps, scored 25 or more goals and had 15 or more assists?

Mata had a monster season in 2012/13, but he 'only' scored 20 goals (plus he played 1200 more minutes than Palmer)

If City do the job as most expect, I'd much prefer us finishing 6th rather than finishing fifth & having that feeling of what might have been with an addition CL taken from us due to other sides underperforming in Europe when it truly mattered.

I said the same thing a few weeks ago, lolol

and my regret, as listed above where those hoorid losses and draws that cost us 4th (and CL) as Villa shit out massively at the end

I assume they will lose some players

and thus may be one of the weakest EPL CL bound teams in ages (especially a 4th place CL bound team)

Just looked at the very same stats. Lampard obv had more assists 2009/10 and more non-penalty goals and was a pure midfielder, Drogba obv a pure striker so both not really comparable. The comparison to mata is probably more apropriate but mata too did not play any game as false 9. Still maybe the most impressive debut season of a young player ever for us

figures it could be Manure who wreck us

so sick of them fucking us

It won't be all bad to be in the European Conference League. The lower standard of opposition will allow greater opportunity for rotation. Also if we win it, we'll be the only club to win every European trophy.

the Bundesliga MAY end up with 6 teams in the CL!!!

ffs

has become a real possibility. I am 99% confident Ewigkusen will easily dispose of Atalanta and even more certain Dortmund will succumb to Real Vardrid. If BVB however complete the ultimate football mircale, Frankfurt would indeed play CL (quite undeservedly so btw)
